Let’s welcome all the online poker rooms back to the US market.

Ok so I may be a little bit too excited about the re-entry of Doyles Room back into the US market but it’s certainly a start. I feels like I am watching an episode of ‘Welcome Back Kotter’ on Nick at Night right now with a half drank glass of Jack Daniels in hand. Seriously though, it’s a good move in the right direction. I am glad to see them back in the mix with FTP and Stars. This gives us a both a new site and a new network to play on. Affiliates should start really encouraging their non-US friendly rooms to start monitoring how Doyle does and if successful then re-enter as well. This really could be a step in the right direction.

In regards to the infamous UIGEA…The nature of all this can pretty much be wrapped up by the all-too-often stated ‘we’ll just have to wait and see.’

“the long awaited rules that will provide the “how” part of the UIGEA will be out as soon as tomorrow and within a week at the latest. There will be an expected 60 - 90 day commenting period and then re-examination period which could take up to 180 days. During that time not much will change but it should be interesting to see what the proposed rules are.” – from Bill’s Blog

Doyles is on a different network now that is why US players are allowed to play.
