I couldn't agree more Dave. I'm currently in college as well as being a poker affiliate, and so many of my peers are totally blinded as to their career ambitions.
They are all finance majors who have to work their ass off in college just to get a job where you work 80+ hour weeks. When I discuss this with them, and ask them what the advantage of this is, they reply that they'll be making a lot of money.
Well, I don't consider $100k/year enough to basically sacrifice your social life as well as your health for.
I work maybe 3-4 hours a day, and I feel very productive during those hours, so I'm totally fine with that. The rest of the time I either go to class, work out, play sports, or relax with my friends.
