I've noticed this lately too, especially so on the CAP forum. It seems like a lot of AMs hang around just to jump on the "Which rooms should I promote?" threads to give a brief summary of why they have the best affiliate program. It's understandable as to why this happens, but I don't think a completely biased plug adds much value to threads.

On the other hand, this is not to all the AMs on forums, because there are some great ones like Mark (SunPoker) that really give constuctive criticism in 'Review My Sites' threads and stuff.

But overall I agree. I think when one AM plugs their affiliate program, it leads the way for others to do the same, and the threads can become quite spammy.
