Can't hurt to remove any excess code that doesn't do anything. You should check with the service provider if you can remove the "copyright". It isn't enough for you to think you paid a "good price".
It is smart to settle on things like that before you buy. For example how many sites can you use it on, can you sell it, can you do anything you like with it and so on.
