I'm sending out a newsletter to more than 3k Users. I'm offering a couple add spots at $75 each.

This is my first newsletter, so I don't have any kewl stats etc. Just the folks that signed up for the newsletter on 4flush .

How many ad spots are being sold, what will the rest of the newsletter contain? Also, I just looked at your blog and there isn't even a spot on the homepage to collect email addresses, so where are these coming from?

I just moved the site from /gambling news to just /. I'm putting all the old static pages into the new WP. I haven't decided how many ads, because I wanted to see how they looked. I'm not really a counter, if 5 ads looks spammy, then it'll be four. Kind of the same way I sell content, if 1000 words is fluff, I sell 500.

I don't want the newsletter to come off as spammy. So as I paste ads into content I should have some idea what looks good.

Thanks for the heads up about sign up, there's an include that needs to be replaced :O.

I'm actually just finishing up the strategy article, but before that, we have.. 1256 words. Pretty sure I gave out way more information here than I originally intended to share :O. Hope I answered all your questions .

Oh, ok, but when the box was there collecting emails did it say something like "Sign-up to receive the latest poker offers and news" or was it just a box to insert your email? Basically what I am trying to guage is how quality the list of subscribers would be, or is it possibly a bunch of spam type submissions (I get a ton of that on my mailing list box). Do most of the emails look legit?
