Default Australian Sports Betting

Hey guys, looking at diversifying into sports betting. I pretty much follow every sport, but mainly the ones in Australia. Does anyone have much experience with sports books like sportingbet.com.au and centrebet.com from the affiliate side. I believe sportingbet has a partnership with Paradise Poker but not sure if you get paid for both if your player uses both.

So I will finally ask some questions:

1. Do you see many online Australian bettors
2. Which rooms to promote for Aussie sports like AFL, Rugby League, cricket and Rugby Union.
3. Is it unsafe to use a .com.au domain when the .com redirects to a porn site haha.

The only part I have an answer to is Centrebet is decent on both the affiliate and player side elsewhere. I have no specific knowledge of Australia sports betting though.

Sportingbet + Paradise = pretty much the same thing as far I understood it, but could be wrong because I don't promote either.

Hi Hazo,

This is a great sector to target, especially because it's legal for Australians to bet at sportsbooks but not casinos. The other thing to keep in mind is that there are overlaps in countries that like cricket and football.

Have you had a look at Lasseters Sportsbook? It's an Aussie bookie and has some great player promotions for Australian traffic. For example, they currently are entering bettors into a drawing for an Adidas test jersey worn by Adam Gilchrist when they bet on an IPL match and in April they had player promotions for the NRL and AFL, which are other sports you mentioned.

Another Australian based company is Canbet who do exceedingly well with Racing and Football. You can find both in the Income Access network.

Unfortunately, can't answer the question about the porn re-direct.

Hi Hazo

I concur wth Melanie - as it is legal it would make a lot of sense moving into the market, and the current changes taking place will only make it that much more exciting.

Thanks for the replies guys. Is online casino gambling really banned in Australia lol? I never knew that. I can't imagine why but anyway. I will have to compile a list of rooms to promote and get some more info on them. I've only ever used sportingbet or put bets on at the pub. Aussies love to bet on sport

Looks like this might be my next website.

p.s what are the current changes?

Nick

Australian licensed casino and poker sites are not allowed to accept Australian players.

Bookmakers are allowed to accept Australian citizens as the online aspect is just an extension of their telephone betting services.

IASBet is the Aussie facing product for Australians - Canbet who also offer poker and casino is the overseas facing brand of the same company
