Yep Bingo is big, especially in the UK, Sweden and Spain (please note bet365 does not accept US players).

Business model is quite similar to Poker, as revenue comes from a "rake" on the main pot formed by the total amount of the bingo tickets purchased by players on each game.

Side casino games are also lucrative: players can play waiting for another bingo game to start or even while watching the game. Crystal ball game is really cool as players can bet on the first ball, the 15th ball or pretty much everything they want on the ball number, colour, odds or even, etc...

Bonuses are also similar to what you can find in poker. At bet365 we cover it all:

• When a customer first registers for Bingo we give them a free £10 (no strings attached), so you can expect to see the players coming through the door right from the start. We are more generous than our competitors as the bonus funds can be withdrawn after being rolled over 4 times

All the bingo affiliates I know however say that the community aspect of bingo is far greater than online poker and this is one of the reasons the loyalty and retention is so great. I imagine people log on and play every night just so they can socialize with or carry on a conversation with another bingo player from a previous session.

Very true, the moderator is considered as a very friendly figure, he/she is the good guy who can grant special bonuses or organize special bets during the game to add more fun. Players also participate a lot to the chat (they build up the core community), even when they don't know each other they are very friendly. Players compete against each other to get the pot but as there is no strategy involved players are not competitive. The community is the main reason why they come back to play.

Our largest market is currently the UK. We have two rooms in English (one shared with Virtue Fusion network, one unique to bet365), one room in Spanish unique to bet365 and one room in Swedish also unique to bet365.

Now more figures about the Bingo business:

The iGaming Business magazine from July/Aug states that:
- over 600 million GBP is spent on bingo tickets annually in the UK (without side games included in most bingo software).
- the rake held by operators is between 15% to 25%. This is much higher than poker figures so there is money there for you on revenue share!
- side games account for between 40% to 60% of the overall profit

Typically Bingo is a female market, though I believe this is down to how the product has been marketed by so many sites.

I am not convinced by "100% women approaches" for bingo such as 888 who named its bingo product 888ladies. Look at poker: the proportion of female is growing in our typical male poker community

The age range is also said to be reducing and attracting a younger market.
