Default New Bingo Affiliate Here is it worth it?

Hello all,

I've been a poker affiliate for a number of years and am making my very 1st Bingo related site. I bought a domain and only just noticed it was a page rank 4 domain, i was going to sell it but decided to try and develope it instead to see what happens.

In 2006 it had a full bingo portal on there and has some very good links still in place.

Is there any advice anyone would be so kind as to offer on the following points.
  1. What are bingo players looking for?
  2. I assume most are female players do you agree?
  3. Do they want to chat and leave comments or just find things like bingo room reviews and bonuses?
  4. Is it worth having a bingo news feature?
  5. Do bingo players play poker aswell?
  6. Best way to get players email adresses, i was thinking a free prize draw for some GHD straighteners (pink ones)?
  7. Is it worth it when compared to the income we can make from poker, is it a big enough market?
Any advice appreciated, www.lucky7bingo.co.uk not finished but wil be 95% complete today.

Thanks

  1. What are bingo players looking for?
    - No deposit bonus to try the room, good ergonomy on the bingo room, strong community aspect, fun side casino games.
  2. I assume most are female players do you agree?
    - Yep, they tend to be younger that the offline bingo players
  3. Do they want to chat and leave comments or just find things like bingo room reviews and bonuses?
    - They want to find out where they will get the best playing experience in terms of fun, all sorts of bonuses, and they love special promos and events. They like to chat on the bingo room but it could be a good idea to start a conversation on your website as well. Why not asking your visitors to make comments on their own experience of the bingo rooms on your website?
  4. Is it worth having a bingo news feature?
    - Yes, to promote special events and jackpots which tend to help a lot your conversion figures. A good example would be bet365 competition to take players to a christmas shopping spree in London.
  5. Do bingo players play poker as well?
    - Some will, but it's not the same game philosophy nor demographics. If you want to put a poker link on your bingo site do not use a prominent place. A casino link would work better than poker.
  6. Best way to get players email adresses, i was thinking a free prize draw for some GHD straighteners (pink ones)?
    - Not sure what is the value of that to be honnest i don't know how much it's worth and if it would really entice the players to give you their email (ask your female friends). But the gift certainly matches the demographics.
  7. Is it worth it when compared to the income we can make from poker, is it a big enough market?
    - Income comes half from the bingo rake and the other one from casino side games. The market is big and competition is fierced between operators who know about the great potential of online bingo.

Write an ebook with tips about online bingo and put and opt-in form.

If a visitor wants to download the book must complete the form and the ebook or the download link is sent via email.

You can automatize the process with an email marketing service like GetResponse or Aweber (I use GetResponse).

I am aplying sucessfully this strategy a lot of time in all of my spanish sites, including one bingo site.

Regards and good luck

Only just seen this post so apologies about the delay of response, just thought I would mention that as an owner of a pair of GHD straightners I would sign up to a site offering a free prize draw for a pink pair.. You can win many females this way :-)
