Default Tired of Governement?

It seems as though whenever the 13 bloodlines that run the world missed out on something that makes tons of cash, well they just change the laws.

I'm very sick about the bills passed and the recent attack on domain names.

Our representatives did nothing to stop the bailout which handed banks our hard earned money to give 30 million dollar bonuses and handed them cash to buy other banks.

Banks charge us fees that are ridiculous and excessive. Not to ension property taxes, school taxes for crappy schools, and county, borough, and any other crap they can make up.

Let one million people wage a tax revolt and see how fast they change their tune.

I'm against this stupid 2 party system too where they brainwash us via media that there are only 2 candidates. I like Obama, but I voted for Nader because he truly looks out for the people.

And if this country wants to continue to be this way, I hope that they quit calling us a democracy and free. Because, we are in a fascist socialist country.

And if you say love it or leave it - where can I go? Can I go to Venezuela where they are about to do a coup? Or perhaps Iraq , where they invaded to have a base in middle east, or how about Cuba which they have embargo? Or maybe most to Germany or Japan which they run since WW2 with puppet governments. Where else? Panama, Iran, Afghanistan, or maybe the killing fields of Africa that they allow to happen to reduce population.

Bush and Cheney are being very quite lately and I woudnt be surprised if something happened between now and inauguration.

They have taken people properties, IRA, 401k, life savings and when they are done they are coming for our sites too.

Hey come to Canada most of us are normal. But I agree the 2 party system is bullshit actually the party system is bullshit. For a true democracy everyone should be independents.

Welcome to the Entitlement Generation. Unless there is a major earthquake than sends California into the Pacific Ocean, I'd expect more of the same.

In MA we had a legally binding question to eliminate the income tax.
over 70% of people voted to keep it. I had people showing up at my door step, stopping me in the street, calling me on the phone and had to watch at least one television ad during every freaking commercial during sports games and late night TV telling me why I needed to get out there and vote to keep the income tax. These people were so passionate about it. I'm a pretty laid back guy most of the time but on on occasion at a store I considered that the last advocates that harassed me on this topic were beyond approach having lost all ability to reason so with discussion being a losing proposition I considered if maybe a knock out punch and a few stomps on his head might help snap him out of the trance.

We have highest cigarette taxes, a sick lottery that sells $20 scratch tickets and have drawing lotteries that tax and then pay on annuities, property tax, excise tax, sales tax, gas tax, speeding tickets, parking tickets, court fees, road tolls sure could go on and on and on. On top of this we have police, school, fire department and other fund raisers pushed on us all the time... Freak but if they don't get that income tax they're going to go broke.

I'm not a supporter of democracy because imo the average person is to stupid to vote. To say it less harshly can just quote the author of the decoration of indepence himself Thomas Jefferson who said “A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.”

Personally I fear it will only get worst. More and more kids are going through a school system that trains them to be conformists rather than independent thinkers. My daughter is 9 and extremely intelligent she does lots of research online, can design website, knows HTML etc. I was so proud of her when I asked her why she had no school one day (because I didn't know) and she said its Columbus day. I said half jokingly what did columbus ever do that deserves you guys getting a day off and she said "he discovered Indians" and was dead serious with her reply. She amazes me with some of the things she says and when I ask her about it she can present her opinion and agrument better than a typical adult .

My father and my cousin (not related) neither of them made it past 8th grade and are two of the smartest people I know, and I don't just mean logical they know history, advanced mathematic, general knowledge are like the types you'd see on Jerpordy. I've only made small observations of this but it does seem based on other examples as well that their is a correlation between being genius and deciding school is not right for you. It really doesn't have to be that way though - what America is sold to be about, what maybe perhaps it once was, or the very least the concept that people so deeply love is has deeply routed into non confirmitism. Thomas Jefferson also said:
“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.”

Enough with the rant. Those that see like people like me or OP see are alianted and ridiculed. Those that do see it its like preaching to the quire. So we either know the problems or disagree there are problem. For those in the former I think better conversation now is what we can do about it.

Some ideas:

1. The first and formost imporant thing: Spend less time googling and youtubing all the latest corruption, loss or rights and all that other stuff and replace that time with doing productive activities.

2. Find other like minded "proactive" individuals to do business with. If you need a website designed or have a site for sale, look to people with the same belief system and passions as you first to buy from or sell to. I take offers for slightly less all the time to do work for or sell to someone I believe is out their working on either the same or parellel causes - I think a lot of people underestimate what a massive difference this in itself could make. (notice I put quoted here on proactive - nothing will change because anyone became and expert on how corrupt shit is. If you watch every video posted on youtube about anything to do with the council on foreign relations your waisting time that could be used to accomplish suggestion #3 below)

3. Make it part of your responsibly and have it drilled so far into the root of your subconsious and core being that you'll never again question it "to make as much money as posible". With money comes power. Its not coincidence that those earning $150K to $400K per year pay a much higher percentage of tax then any other bracket. When you've broke that plane then making millions per year is not difficult. People with millions can influence a heck of a lot of people if they chose and can even counter billions if done correctly. To put it simply $10 million vs 1 billion - truth in the end will more likely prevail. $10 million in lies stands nothing against $0 in truth. its like screaming in the forest with no one to hear.

4. Stop playing their game. The internet can get you a lot better education then college. If you'll never use the degree don't follow there system.

5. We MUST stop sell children that they go to school and learn to get a good job. This line of thinking is half the reason we're in the mess we're in. They go to school to get an education and all that is important is what they learn and they do this so that they can blank, blank blank or blank, blank, blank. A job is a last resort option and is not what we should be teaching kids to strive for.

6. If you're bold enough, directly challenge authority but do be smart about the battles you chose. I'm not putting in a plug for comprimise but will assert its harder to fight a good fight from prison then it is from the outside.

7. Realize that whatever others think of you is none of your business anyways. Call things like you see them and don't shy from contravery.

Those are my ideas on top of my head. Am very interested in hearing from others.

If you're gonna rip into democracy using intelligence as a basis, you could at least learn to use the English language properly. Since this particular error tends to be of a freudian nature and not just a typo, I'd say it's a pretty good assumption that your own educational background is pretty weak.

Wow I just read what prop said and I cant see the error either. For some reason I was never good at spelling and writing but math always seem like common sense to me.

Well I don't need to defend myself to anyone, but your post is pretty assertive and I've grown to hate asshole comments about grammar so here is my true to life story. I'm sure there are others who struggle for one reason or another and if you have a sound argument against something being said feel free to present it and perhaps bring some intellectual conversation or debate forth. Picking on peoples disabilities or inadequacies is a pointless post and adds no value. Were you not tough enough to pick on kids in high school that your smarts and the internet as a forum gives you opportunity to compensate for that nature in you now?

Anyways here's my story for any other grammar police officers that care.

I can speak well but not write well. I was a math prodigy and graduated from high school when I was 15 and went straight to community college. With pressure from parents I first studied statistics and contemporary math, but when I was 17 changed my major to criminal justice. Around this time it was shocked to learn that I couldn't read. I knew I had struggled when forced to read outloud as a small child so hadn't done it any longer. What had happened is I learned words like characters almost like learning a language I developed. I looked at a page and could determine meaning of text but could not actually read it.

Imagine right now if you discovered you could not read? This is the shock I experianced it made no sense. I had been told forever I was gifted I could not only read but I could read faster than anyone I knew and read hundred of books on all sorts of subjects.

Anyways most of my typos are from this. I've learned to read now having to learn just like first graded would, but this was when I was 17 and its like a 2nd language to me. I still don't read everyday learned to for when I edit content and this takes me a very long time to do. I'll rarely bother on a forum reading what I type because honestly I don't care that much to go through the struggle to look good to the grammar police.

I'm not a fan of the "party system" because all it does is create division in our ranks. The politicians are supposed to be out there doing what's best for the people.

Instead all we get is Republicans bashing Democrats and vice versa. It's all mudslinging and special interests.

So you went to community college and found out you couldn't read after you were told that you were a prodigy?

I know lots of people who were told they were smart, then they went to community college and realized they couldn't read. Those were the kids that rode the short bus to school everyday and got out of school 1/2 hour early. They were all smart and special...in god's own way.

But I couldn't have sworn, they knew that the words "to" and "too" had completely different meanings. I wouldn't have said a word to you, but if you are going to insult my country with that kind of unintended irony, you have it coming the whole way.
