Default Cars

I really like cars and I bet some of you guys do too. I own a black 1998 BMW 328is. It's a 5-Speed. I do my own maintenance and have babied it through over 125k miles. Strangely enough, I kind of want an NSX now. What do you guys drive and want?

1999 Cougar in mint condition which was so ahead of its time design wise people think it's new and it turns a lot of heads let me tell you, although I'm a shine junkie and that has something to do with it no doubt. Next car when I finally retire this baby - I'm thinking about a Cadillac XLR.

Im currently Driving a VW Golf R32 3.2 V6 4x4 DSG, its s lovely car, its a damn shame i cant hire it out that much, so i tend to be driving it alot hehe... strange that its allways not available when people call up about it.

There are times when i trundle home in a van, so i dont really have a set car, i just take what ever is not out on rent.

A car i would really want, is the new SkyLine, but as i allways buy cars to rent out, the chnaces of getting one are very slim! hehe

The R32s are always cool - I feel the quality is nicer. What do you mean by "hire it out"? You let people rent your cars?

kingcobra - I think he's referring to the new R35 Nissan GT-R? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_GT-R

Yeah Tom's Rent-a-Car. They call it hire a car over there in the U.K. I guess. The first time I heard him talking about this I thought he meant he drove a taxi. Nissan GTR, no you probably wouldn't want to rent that out, unless it's to the Duke of Suffolk or something and he's going to let Jeeves drive it who's an old man and takes it easy on the gearbox

I've actually ridden in the new 2010 GTR and it's not all that great. Sure it posts amazing numbers and gets looks (for that reason) but the quality isn't really there. I guess if you wanted a nicer fit and finish, you would go Porsche.

Depends on whether you're going new or used. The new ones are pretty cool but they always have issues. Everyone I know who has a new one is always in and out of the dealer getting things fixed. Fortunately, they have really killer service (at least here in the US) where everything is covered for several years.

I'm pretty fond of older models, having been converted to a BMW fan by the E39 5-series. I could say you couldn't go wrong owning an E46 3-series, E39 5-series, or E38 7-series but that depends on if you're a lover of BMWs or just the badge.
