I'm definately no casino expert either but things change drastically from month to month so its really hard to say besides going by numbers.

For non-US I like Casinoeuro.com
For all countries accepted I like Rushmorecasino.com

Bodog went from best converter to worst converter in a matter of a couple months.

Indeed, that works well. In our software there are various ways to enter the "side casino games" easily:
You might have noticed the blackjack icon when you sit on a table, or the "Casino Games" tab on the left navigation of poker at bet365.

Has anyone noticed which games their whales tend to play? Is it ony the conventional high-roller games like blackjack, roulette or craps? Or do you get high MGR penny slot and bingo players too?

Exactly why I am so upset with Doyles after finding out they don't pay us on casino action. I know the mentality of gamblers, and I know there are a ton of poker players that take a bad beat, then hit the blackjack tables and lose their ass.

Just out of interest, I'd be interested to hear the major differences affiliates find when promoting poker and casino ...

At Bodog, most my promotion is for poker but have had players come along and lose $30K per year in the casino. At Betfair I promote poker rakeback at a an awful overide but I earn full commission from those players activities in Betfair's other products: $XXXX other product for every $XX earned in poker, and we mostly promote the poker. Betfair offers a great CPA too $150 or $200 or something, forget what it is.. but its not worth it.. MGR is cleary way to go at both Bodog and Betfair

(Note: don't focus on US market so not sure if Bodog CPA might be better for US or not)

To answer OP, I don't promote casino's much. I got an awesome CPA deal with 888 and have done fairly well with it over the years and still promote it. Problem for me is money don't motivate me much at all - I do what I do because I like doing what I do, I've always put player first, then poker rooms I promote second and my income 3rd, but the negotiated deal with poker room needs to be fair first for me to put them ahead of my own income, once thats set I don't worry much about it again - and the money always shows up just the same.
So guess its just my personality, I'll promote casinos when it excites me.. like Betfair having a Zero Edge casino or 888 having a nice bonus offer etc.. If I'd do it myself I'll tell others about it. But, with casino offers not really exciting me much other than a few here and there I can't really see myself every really focusing hard on it. I wish I could care about money more as it would make life a lot easier but once you've made and lost millions twice the 3rd time around money don't seem like much other than something that comes and goes and shows up 100% of the time as its need or purpose becomes clear.

i feel that poker is a game that you can actually get good at and compete, challenge yourself, have fun at, and i like to play it myself...

on the other end casino is pure gambling and you can't really win, if you're playing online casino with real money, you've got some issues. In my mind i can't justify promoting or being a part of someone potentially getting involved with online casinos.

...also, i feel going to a live casino on a fun money budget is usually a fun experience, its like your paying to be entertained, but online is something else.

I've noticed slots player can be quite big. The thing about blackjack players is that quite a number of them like to play with the blackjack strategy card and bet accordingly. I guess I've seen more large slots players than blackjack.

Slots! = Must be great $$$.

I though I would personally never play slots but after getting a slots only bonus, and running a stupid 9 line freaking fruit machine up +$1500 over a couple days I got hooked on that but after like 5 days I gave myself a choice to chop my foot off or keep playing. i rather like my foot, and don't care for pain so I stopped. finished up $800 after a week of pushing buttons at $2.25 each time.
Point is I can see how that will get addicting as hell. When I went from +$1500 down to +$1000 I was like okay i'm done. I ended up saying ah $100 more.. lost it and said... ah $100 more.. I stopped then but freak was it hard to do.

Whales are usually in the form of slots players but I have seen some bet large on table games and video poker as well. With blackjack and video poker it helps for a program to know what the players expected return is. It is possible for some video poker players to have a return less than 95% based on their play and seen it go as low as 90% which beats any slot. Of course if you cannot identify the players who play perfect strategy with a return of 99.54% while abusing bonuses then this will hurt winnings for the casino and of course the affiliates.

If anybody wants to know more about my program let me know. I am interested in the cross over traffic from poker and so far all of them have performed very well.

John
