Default Is There A Casino Sanbox?

If I was to set up a new casino site with a new IP address, would the site be thrown into the sandbox for the first few months like it would a poker site?

I'm assuming it would, but just wanted to check before I decide whether it would be best to couple a new site on a trusted IP.

Hey Greg..I launch all of my sites on new IP's. I dont worry about it going into the "sandbox". Every site I have/had has always started out on a new hosting plan with seperate IP's and things go like they should. I dont think its worth stressing over

Yeah I've never really experienced the "sandbox" either, and I always start my sites on new hosting plans.

Okay thanks guys.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've had periods at the start of sites where they do not rank well at all for months, not even for very close title matches. I think it applies more to gambling sites, but would definitely want to avoid it if I can. Will set a new IP up and see how it goes this time around.

Thanks for the advice again.

What do you do linking wise right at the start?

Very generally...

A few link exchanges
Submit a handful of articles to ezines

That's right at the start, beyond that I expand more in other areas for links.

To be honest, I only really experienced the sandbox with thepokerbank, as the following site was on the same IP and so was ranking well from the start. The next site after that wasn't too heavily focused on poker and gambling as the others, so probably had the opportunity to miss it.

Maybe my linking strategy is better now than it was when I first started, so possibly would be able to help with the effects sandbox now. But I remember that for a good 6 months or so thepokerbank didn't rank well at all for anything, then all of a sudden things started to change. I'm still confident that the sandbox does exist though.

Yeah that's basically what I do too when starting a site. Stick with that and you should be fine.

I think its because you have more experience now Greg...most of us with our first sites made so many errors that it could have hindered the success of the site. Look at my first site...took 6 months before it did anything at all.

You'll be fine I am sure of it
