Monthly Affiliate Tournament - May 2008

If you send us at least 5 signups for the month of May you will have qualified for the May Affiliate Tournament. The Poker.com or Carbon Poker playing account that you have listed in our system will be issued with a tournament entry coupon and you will be able to log in and register for the tournament.

• When: Thursday 29 May @ 19:00 (Carbon time)
• Where: Tournaments >> Private >> Scheduled
• Entry: Only with entry coupon

Prizes
The prizes have also changed with the focus changing to increased revshare for the coming month.
1st - 50% revshare for the following month
2nd - 45% revshare for the following month + $20k coupon
3rd - 45% revshare for the following month

The bounties on the affiliate managers will also change and will now be 2 x $20k coupons to be used as prizes in private tournaments

Will be there Richie, a great tourney for affiliates... 3rd last month, 1st in the one before - time for 3 out of 3??

BTW - would be great if this could be just an hour or 2 earlier... I'm surely not the only European affiliate who needs to get his 'late night poker playing' license signed by the other half first...

Instead of 45% and 50% rev-shares I'd rather have an "immunity to chargebacks" pass for a month.

Agree with you there. I am sorry but 50% revshare in no way makes up for chargebacks.

What about a reduction in monthly Coupon Deduction Fees? I could slightly understand if I had any real money players this year.

Hi all,

The affiliate tournaments have been running on the last Thursday of each month at 19:00 server time for the past 6 months or so. We have only recently changed the entry requirements and prizes on these tournaments.

As such, affiliates need to qualify for entry by getting at least 5 signups in the month. This is the reason we leave the notification so late, to give you all the most chance to get those signups and qualify. We then run our report to see who has achieved the entry requirement and then issue the coupons accordingly.

I apologize if this causes any hassles for anyone. But next month the tournament will again be on the last Thursday of the month and we again will send out the entry coupons a day or two before the game.

So put that date in your calendar each month as it will not change. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Would be great to get a reply to emails too. I'm guess I didn't make anything because of chargeback after reading these posts..

It's kinda sad because Carbon has by far the best software of all the poker rooms.. I just have trouble sending anymore players knowing I won;t make anything.. Other sites on Merge are doing really well for me though, mainly because they don't have the same chargeback system I suppose..

At some point someone there will have to decide if they want to meet the full potential of the poker room..
