Anyone translated their site to German?

I'm wondering if anyone has translated their site to German or Italian and if so, have you seen good results from doing so?

I'm thinking that these two markets are the next large online gambling markets to look into, but am wondering if anyone has had success yet in doing so?

i have not just translated a site, i have created one and i am still creating my site only in German. Germany is THE market to boom, i am living here and people start loving this game, every day there are new poker spots on tv, several poker shows, now we even have a poker tv channel.
now is the time to create your german sites.

btw, some personal marketing haha if any1 needs help regarding such a translation, i can work for you

Italian is a bit problematic since the government IP-blocks some gambling sites including poker rooms.

Might be a silly question - but I presume there are no duplicate content issues with the same content being translated into another language?

Very much doubt there would be but is there any particular SEO do's and don'ts regarding content translation?
