Does unique web visitors have any influence of you search engine ranking? What I mean is, say 100 people click on your site everyday.. Does that help you? Does that do anything?

There are hundreds of different factors that go into the algorithm, which are not publicly made knowledgeable. If this does influence your search ranking, if at all, it would be very low because it is too easy to manipulate.

I disagree with Kyle ..... some what.

Click through rate is a major factor for the search engines.

Search engines must supply their customers with the best possible search results to stay competitive.

That's their job.

And they have the technology in place today to factor this in to their algo.

This may not be a major factor for your sites ranking position........ but you still must try and write a very compelling page description to get every viewer possible to click on your link.

I'm sure they do calculate views verses clicks.

Just common sense.

This is a overlooked.... but very important SEO and traffic factor in my opinion.

I have also heard that they can tell how long you stay on a page or a site after clicking through from the search engine.

Regardless of what search engines think, in the long run, you are going to be better off having more people click on your page/site for a longer period of time.
