Default The buzz of freerolls

I play the odd freeroll. The last one was ASOP. I had no interest in qualifying to make the final at the CAP, I just played it to play against others here.

I had never played at the site so I registered through the link provided. Had it been a site I would have played at, sure I would have deposited & played. It just didnt appeal to me. Im registered at most decent sites so offering freerolls to smaller sites wont help your conversion unless you find a quality site I have missed out on.

No No's for me

1) Lack of traffic

2) Lack of variety of games

3) Shitty control of betting function.

Now we get to you investment in the freeroll.

Personally If I make the payout, I'll hit the ring games & try to build it up to maybe $100, cashout & delete the site from my PC.

Im not a freeroll whore, but I like the odd game to break up my day. Using my own cash, Im trying to cut down on my poker because when I start I'll be playing for about 15 hours, non stop.

Value to the promoter.

I always use affiliate links to sign up for a program. I hate the idea of paying directly to the site. As for freerolls, I cannot remember a time I have deposited as a result of playing one.

I just felt the need to post my opinion on freerolls, Id be interested on other people opinions. Succeses/failures by hosting one.

I played on that site for one of the ASOP freerolls and have to say it was some of the worst software I have ever seen. I believe the site was Action Poker.

Yes, what I am getting at is, I dont want to play at a site that is better than the worst site. I look for a site I feel comfortable at.

I played at the xxxx anti affiliate rake site & made out of it but the site was crap so I walked away.

What Im talking about is people throwing out freerolls without considering the players satisfaction, which makes a big difference in convertions ~& continuation at the site

I personally dont mind action poker. I do think they have a huge way to go to meet any standards now. First being the design needs to be upgraded...it sucks it reminds me alot of party with the graphics.

I don't play many anymore...lol I hardly have time for poker but when I did I never deposited. Teh only rooms I did was Titan which turned out to be my favourite till teh US players took a hike and the software went shitty
I like Poker.com because of the appeal of the software. If there is not much traffic, or it looks like it hasnt went through an upgrade in the last 5 years, server is slow or boots. I wont bother.

I have come to the conclusion that these smaller sites like Wingows and Tiger just don't do well, not the way that I want.

When I first started that's what I promoted was smaller sites thinking that people would love to find a new one but ideally if I wont deposit on that site how can I expect someone else to?

I was positive they would make a killing and that I shouldn't promote the big rooms because everyone has them when in fact I have had more succes lately with teh bigger rooms than all of the small ones put together.

I held freerolls at Wingows $100 and the best part was people could care less to even download and play it even though it was free money for the simple fact that it was not a good site.

Now when I try anything out I try to remember to think as if it was myself going to play and not as someone who is trying to do a job and make some money.

Why should I sign up there?

To be honest I am not a huge winning player, not a losing player but none the less have not cashed in big games with a ton of players. I find that sites that offer tournaments with roughly 100-150 people I can do well at. I enjoy limit and find that the .50/1 and 1/2 are profitable here. Most players see every flop. After the 1/2 limits there is not much action for full tables,. That doesnt bother me as I don't play higher than 2/5 at the casino here anyway.

The software is fast which is a big big concern of mine. I am impatient when it comes to the speed of the game getting slowed down. Which is probably why I have emailed Titan a total of 3 times over the year to close my account because of this, and closed my account lastnight explaining to them that it is not me it is them as they try to blame me for technical issues.

I have had three issues with support and all three were recogonized within a few minutes through online. Again it could be because they dont have as many players as otehr sites so the staff may be more equipped to handle problems. Cash outs are quick...no hassell

Thats why I like it.

What I dont like

. I have tried the freerolls like the 50K and I think that 5000 points for access is to small. I was able to get my 5K in comp points playing limit within less than a week. They need to either bump it up or reduce the time from 30 days to 10 days. This way their freerolls will be more appealing than allowing anyone in and it being a huge donkfest.

Generally because I think Poker.com/Carbon Poker may do somathing. There is alot of potential in that site. Ellen is fantastic as an AM,

Things have made me hesitant about them but I think that eventually they may make it to be not huge but well known. I am still worried about the big rooms and not getting as many players. I know that they do well for others I am thinking though that until I get the traffic i need, that it may not be as worthwhile for me individually to push them as much.

I tried Bodog for a month with PPC and not one download. Very disappointing. I didnt recieve any till 2 weeks ago. I am getting great hits for Carbon, last month was decent for signups and a few deposits. That of course needs to increase.

I am working on the main page tonight to incorporate Stars as I have finally been seeing hits for this room too, not only in keywords but qualified players.

I think it also has to do with competing with the "big boys" and reluctance to compare.

I hope this is what you ment
