Default Party Poker Question Regarding Recent Events

So, as many of you have probably heard, Party Poker is not only withholding May payments from affiliates who they have accused of poaching players, but they are also back-dating any affiliate accruals that were generated through "fraudulent traffic." So, if you told a player to close their account and open up a new account under you, Party Poker is going back to September 2006 (I believe) and saying that all payment made for that player were fraudulent, and that you know owe them that money back! I've heard of some affiliates having negative balances of hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they obviously will probably never dig out of that hole.

The question I have is: if you had a player under a Rev Share plan, and that player got "poached", and Party Poker is now withdrawing all affiliate accruals, will we receive that money? If I had a player named "PlayerX" who was earning me $250 a month in rake, and that player was poached in September, and continued to generate $250 a month for the new affiliate; should that player be returned to me, and should I receive the $250 a month back-dated back to September?

So let me get this straight. You had a player that got "poached" from you and now that PP is cutting down you are wondering if you will get that player back?

Just want to make sure I'm right.

If so...I doubt it very much. In fact I would say no chance in hell.

Just an opinion

As far as I know, it doesnt even matter if the player was "poached" it could be as simple as a player having two accounts. Say someone created one a few years ago but forgot about it, then signed up under your banner or whatever and became your player.

And to answer your question, I dont think party is going to "pay you back" for any stolen players, or not even stolen players, but players who were simply originally yours.

They have no problem taking away money for fraudulent or multiple account traffic (which is good, needed to happen a long time ago)

But they arent going to pay the orignal referring affiliate all due funds from those players (pretty ridiculous and a win win for party)

Should you? Yes.

Will you? Not a freakin chance.

This reminds me of the days when we first started running the free bankroll promotion at Party. If a player hadn't played within 60 days of us funding their account, Party considered the account inactive. Keep in mind, this was before there were any play requirements to qualify for the CPA.

In this scenario, Party would deduct the CPA the already paid us from our current months revenue.

However, they would close the account and keep the money in it.

This left them + $50 at our expense. Outright making money off of one of their affiliates.

With that said, we didn't make a big deal of it because of how much we were making overall....but it just shows they're not adverse to sleazy business practices.

It would be nice if they set things right.

Even if they don't, it's an even more important thing to slam the poachers down. this is far more important because it will make more money for productive affiliates in the long run.

Half a loaf is better than none.

I think that's the problem...affiliates would rather let it slide to keep the money coming instead of voicing your opinon. Another issues surfaces and people are upset again but no actions taken.

It's like my 8 year old if I keep letting it slide it gets worse as she sees how much she can actually take from me.

I have no personal issue with Party that I myself have experienced but I refuse to promote them. They have allowed spam and I will not accept that as a means to get players. I would rather not make money from them to make some and allow what they do.

Somebody is getting fucked here really badly.

Either the affilaites who are being back billed or the affiliates who aren't getting compensated.

I'd be willing to partake in any legal action against party on this.

I can understand the argument that they have the right to take that money back, but also the one that says that they shouldn't be able to. But if they do take it back...it most certainly should not go into the Party coffers and should be returned to the affiliates who it was not paid to in the first place...as well as all future revenue on those players.

PM me for contact info. Only if you are a large Party affiliate (on either side of this fence) or legal councel....or on the off chance if your name is Anurag Dikshit and you'd like to return to me the money you just stole from me, while urinating on my face and laughing.

That's true to a point....but if you were making over $30K a month would you really want to bite the hand that feeds you over $1K each month?

Your principles must be stronger than mine...
