Golden Palace Drops Canada?

I just got this email from Golden Palace:

Seems kinda strange that they would drop Canada....

Dear Player, We no longer accept play from residents of Canada. As a result, your REAL account is being closed.
The balance of funds in your account will be processed and refunded to you. You will receive the funds by check sent to the mailing address you provided at registration.
