There were quite a few of us that had trouble cashing those wirecard banks "checks" from pokerroom. Anyone have any updated information on this?

They basically screwed me. I just got a notice from my bank in the mail the other day saying that not only was the check unable to process, my bank account has been charged with a $105.96 fee.

I just called up my bank (commerce bank in the US) today and they told me that the fee was from the other bank (Wirecard bank) for the reason: "They have reason to believe the check has been issue in breach of regulation of the issue."

So basically the bank who issued me a $234 pokerroom payment is charging me $106 for trying to cash it. Now I have to try to get in contact with pokerroom and hope they can fix this problem.

Foreign Bank Unpaid Charge: Euro $75 @ 1.4128 = USD $105.96
Total Charge to your accountUSD $105.96:

Is anyone else having this problem??

This whole thing is really going to kill pokeraffiliate's program. How could it take 9+ months to set up a bank account and pay people? I attached them email I got earlier last week below. I tried signing up with no success. Their fee to withdraw money, which you can only do from an atm, is 2% with a minimum of $6 charge on top of the ATM fee.

Wirecard supposedly sends you some verification # through your mobile phone.....never worked for me. If anyone else gets this up and going and can give us a review of how bad/good it is let us know.

Please be advised that affiliate payouts will no longer be processed via check. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however we are pleased to announce the arrival of a new payment option, WireCard.
We think you’ll find this new option beneficial to all concerned.
How does it work?
1. Simply go to https://www.wirecard.com/wirecard/Re...tionStart.html and open up a Wirecard account. Please ensure to use your real name (NOT the company/affiliate name), address, email, etc. This process is free and should take less than a minute. You will receive an account number shortly thereafter.
2. You should then forward the account number, full name and email address to >
info@pokeraffiliate.com. You can then expect your funds to be processed back to your Wirecard.
3. The funds will be instantly transferred into your account. You will also receive a virtual MasterCard including a virtual ccv2 number and virtual card number. (https://www.wirecard.com/wirecard/ShowHelpPage.html#q7) You can use this virtual MasterCard to pay for any purchase on the internet, as you would with any normal credit card.
4. For access to your funds, simply log into your account and order a real Wirecard MasterCard. You’ll then be able to withdraw your funds at any ATM bearing the MasterCard*. The pin code and card will take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive to your ace w:st="on">USlace> address>
*standard ATM charges apply.

We apologize sincerely with regard to any delay recent payments may have been subjected to. Be assured the payments in question will be processed via Wirecard, as soon as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise once gain for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your renewed patience and support. Should you have any questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us at info@pokeraffiliate.com.>

Thank you for your partnership.

Good god that is ridiculous! I find it hard to believe that every other poker room out there has managed to find a way to get checks (ACTUAL checks) issued to players and affiliates and yet pokerroom cant. I've lost all respect for them and their lack of efforts.

I didn't get a text message either, and it sure as hell isn't my phone. The only way I'm ever moving pokeraffiliate brands back up to the top is if they pay for all the checks to be cashed or take the exact dollar amount and get it to me some other way. WIRE TRANSFER IS THE WAY TO GO YOU GUYS OVER THERE AT POKERAFFILIATE.

Get a bank account JUST for affiliate payments, and then fund it with funds from your other account. This new account won't be associated with actual gambling, so there shouldn't be any worries!

We should make this a public relations disaster for them. Bwin is a publicly traded company. If the public finds out that they are stiffing their advertisers, their stock price will drop and all of the sudden, they will start caring about paying us.

I like that idea. Then we buy stock when they are down

I happen to have a good friend who works at the BBC paper. He has already done 2 poker related projects involving information that I've provided him. In fact, he flew to the US just to interview me in person with a group of people that I knew.

Default Wirecard=Useless

This is the response I got from Wirecard, below. Who the hell uses these phone companies besides T-Mobile. I do think it's kind of funny how they ask you to use a friends phone number if you're not on the supported list of phone companies. All this just to register Not going to happen.

Katrien, can we get SOMETHING else besides this junk?

This is the biggest load of crap in the world. I have to imagine the people at pokeraffiliate are looking for a new way to process affiliate payments. (at least I hope they are)

This is a fast way to decimate their existing database of probably thousands of U.S. affiliates. Several other international companies in the industry have figured out a way to pay us.... it can't be that difficult considering the UIGEA is more about players and people gambling online versus paying internet marketers.
