As many of you are aware, our beloved Account Manager, Ellen, has left the PDCAffiliates team. Ellen extends her gratitude to all the affiliates who have crossed her path and made her time at PDCAffiliates such an enjoyable journey.

For the past two years, Ellen has managed her affiliates with an extraordinary enthusiasm and passion, working beyond the call of duty to help achieve the utmost for those she worked with. Everyone at CarbonPoker will miss her dearly, but we wish to join with you, her affiliates, to wish her well in her next adventure.

All affiliate managed by Ellen should send their requests to support@pdcaffiliates.com to be allocated to another Affiliate Manager. Goodbye Ellen and Goodluck!

September Affiliate Tournament Results

The September Affiliate Tournament was the usual bubbling cauldron of backhanded maneuvers and shifty characters. Throw 69 ravenous Affiliate players into this debaucherous demonstration and you’ve got yourself one doozy of an Affiliate Game.

Taking out this tumultuous tournament was the swift fingered dmoney644, who battled it out head to head with DangerMouse420, winning the game with a devious pair of pocket 3’s. Our three bounty-hunting, affiliate slaying, $100 free-freeroll winning Affiliates were xxapcbossxx, pete06 and our winner, dmoney644.

These three proved to be worthy opponents to the likes of ‘us’ Affiliate Managers and gave us each a run for our money...or chips, as the case may be.

Next months Affiliate tournament is bound to be even more exciting than this one, so get your poker hats on, get your clicker finger clickin’, and get practicing. The October Affiliate Tournament will play on the 25th of this month, at 19:00, server time. See you there!

Guess PDC is too cheap to give away a $2500 package after promising it??

I stayed home just to play in this tourney and it was cancelled even though the minimum number of players were met. Nice.

There was an internal error which caused this tournament to shutdown.

If we were being cheap then we would not have re-scheduled the event, which we have to the following Saturday 21st of October 2007.

Then why not just delay the tourney?

Just sucks...now with the short notice I can't play next Saturday and I could have done some productive things last Saturday, as I cancelled my plans to play in the tourney.

Why not reschedule a few weeks from now?

Since there is a limited amount of players Dean why not ask them? I am supposed to be somewhere as well next weekend however I am making a quick excape to play...just makes it easier having some notice thats all.

Hi Kaus,

Your argument is sound up to a point. Yes, there are a limited number of players entering this event but at some point we have to draw the line in the sand and run the game.

Even given the small number of players, if I open up the calendar for everyone to tell me when it suits THEM to play I will never be able to please everyone, as what works for you may not suit player X, Y and Z and vice versa.

The decision was made to run the tournament on the 21st as that is the next closest weekend to the time it was meant to have run. That decision will stand.

Running it the closest is a BAD decision...there is just no warning time to change plans to play.

Last time, I had time to CANCEL my plans to play and it wasn't!

Just don't understand why the tourney wasn't just delayed??? Did the "supposed winner" not show up? LOL.

At the end of the day Chris - we don't have to offer these special tournaments. This was a something we thought our affiliates would like, much like the regular monthly affiliate tournaments we run. We are under no obligation whatsoever to run any of these. It would save us money to not run them, but we still do.

While it may not suit you personally for us to re-schedule the event to the 21st, the decision was made to do this none the less.

Yes, it was unfortunate that something beyond my control (a technical issue) caused the original tournament to be cancelled. I'm sure you would be singing a very different tune if you had actually won the blogger pack yourself, but as fate has it that opportunity will now go to another lucky affiliate who plays the re-scheduled event.

As far as the "supposed winner not showing up" comment goes - I think you are now just grasping at straws and trying to incite negative comments in this thread. The exact same people who were registered for the first event will be in the re-scheduled event so that is a moot point.

Rather than constantly trying to look for the conspiracy theory behind everything, it would be nice for you to wish your fellow affiliates good luck and all the best for the up-coming game.

If by some stroke of good luck you are also able to make it to the game on the weekend - I hope you do win so you will finally see that we aren't trying to diddle anyone out of anything and are simply trying to offer our affiliates something extra and reward them for their continued support of our service.

Dean,

The LOL at the end of the post indicates a JUST KIDDING!

But, just so you know..."registered" does not mean "present".

Also, you obviously DON'T HAVE TO run such a tourney or any for that matter, but if affiliate programs provided their affiliates with "events" like this, it would make for a "much happier" and "more enthused" relationship.

So, would asking everyone who is registered (since the number is only 9 or so) when the best time would be, would be a "nice" thing to do.

Lastly, you still haven't answered the most important question:

WHY WASN'T THE TOURNEY JUST DELAYED??? Other tourneys seemed to be working fine...oddly this one didn't and couldn't even start later on...seems strange that is all.

I am not trying to create strife...just pointing out that it was sad that this happened as I was looking forward to it, as others were...and others mentioned they ALSO cancelled plans to attend and ALSO can't make it next week possibly.

Isn't that a MESSAGE that you might rethink the ARBITRARY decision?

Just thought you guys would care about the opinion.

Oh well...GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

Hopefully there will be another tourney in the future.
