Yeah i have a few sites

But one of my main reasons for using a service like PAW would be to make my job easier and for me somewhat more time to work on new projects. Perhaps im just used to good service before because i also somewhat expect that a program like paw also make sure to deal with matters like this pronto.

But lets just agree to disagree.

The point is that PAW have a responsibility to the affiliates who have signed up through them - not to the players who sign up on OUR sites.

We have the responsibility to the players as webmasters and we should make our own minds up as to whether we want to feature a particular room.

PAW shouldn't take that choice away from webmasters who have invested time and money in promoting a particular room - as their first priority should be honouring the service they provide to affiliates not the players. They could stop assigning new trackers but to remove ones that are being used would be unfair.

BTW I have removed AP from my site, but am not interested in telling anyone else to do the same - that's up to them.

The all mighty dollar is not everything .. there are many other much more important things..

I have kids, and a pregnant cat, and parents, and you're so right .. those are some of the most important things in the world to me

However, My kids need to eat, and wear clothing, my cat.. she likes to eat too, and probably needs shots now that she's having kitties, my parents house burned, they need a new kitchen and a new bathroom.

There's a lot more to life than money, but it plays a big big role in our lives, maybe on different scales amongst us, but though it's just paper, it's very important.

I don't agree that the first thread was deleted. I think it was censorship, but be that as it may, and be my opinion what it may, as I recently had explained to me, when one of my own posts was deleted at CAP in regards to Absolute Poker..

These forums can't tell you who to promote. No one can make that choice for you. All anyone can do is present you with the information you need to make an informed decision, AP may be dirty, they may clean up, they may not.. but anyone coming a long to sign with them can read all of that dirty laundry as it's washed right here at PAW.

If they read it and still sign up... well then there tough luck and their choice.. as even our parents never really keep us from making every bad choice.

I appreciate the thoughts and opinions regarding AbsolutePoker on the PAW Network. Regardless of my personal thoughts or decisions on promoting AP, I don't think it would be fair for me to make that decision for every affiliate on the network.

To be honest, no matter what I decide to do it is going to piss one group of affiliates off.

Considering the AP deal on PAW is MGR, it is not fair for me to risk other people's money to prove an overall point or have PAW take a stance. If you don't like AP, then it's very simple, don't promote them.

Leaving AP on this network does not show my support for AP, instead it shows my support for the affiliates who promote here.

Let me ask those of you saying I should take AP off the Network this question.

Let's hypothetically say I remove AP. Then lets hypothetically say AP gets pissed off and closes down the PAW account. I imagine some of our affiliates that have sent players and are earning a nice MGR each month would be highly pissed off.

It's easy for you guys not promoting AP or not promoting on this network to say take it down. If the members here that are actually earning revenue each month from AP on the PAW Network would like me to take AP off, then by all means I will. However I don't see a line forming from these folks asking to remove AP. If anything these affiliates would rather not risk losing the MGR from the players they have sent in the past year.

Jeremy,

I don't understand why you are giving credibility to the posistion that a poker room can just drop an affiliate that is on MGR if that affiliate no longer promotes the room anymore. That is absolute garbage and violates the terms of just about every affiliate program out there. If absolute were to take such a step, I think they would blow any chance of a reconciliation with the affiliate community. Note this is a fairly unbiased opinion as I don't have any MGR accounts at Absolute, but I think we need to be clear as a community that we hold the poker rooms to a strict standard when it comes to payment. I don't think suggesting that a room can just stop paying an MGR affiliate on a whim is appropriate. Do you want to be associated with a room that you think would do this?

That said, I think there might be some middle ground here. What about leaving the Absolute trackers active for those that are already using them but not make them avaiable for new PAW affiliates? That way webmasters that want to continue promoting absolute can continue to do so but PAW is not actively promoting AP. I would suggest the removal of AP be a temporary ban with the expectation that it will be put back online when confidence in the program has been restored. If you are still worried about retaliation from Absolute at that point, then I don't think that is a program you want PAW to be working with anyway.

I don't understand what the big deal is if affiliates want to promote AP. I don't have any MGR revenue through PAW, but if someone else wants to promote them, who cares?

How is it hurting you whatsoever by PAW leaving AP on the network?

Okay I am confused now....

Everyone has been raggin on Absolute to come clean and admit that their system might of been f'd with, and now it appears they are going to do that.

So why still all the calling to blacklist and take them off websites? I understand its taken them a bit of soulsearching to realize the right thing to do, but the bottom line is it looks like they are finally going to do what everyone wants them to do, which is admit the mistake, fix it, and pay the players accordingly.

What more can they do at this point?

We're all adults & capable of making our own decisions.
I do think the guy who wrote &/or sent out on that Donk Email, really needs to be strung up though! lol

Call people Donks, it a Hoax & then come clean the next day?
Sh!t happens, but thats way outta line IMO with no chance of redemption.

Obviously it was a 'computer geek' that was trying to hack the site, right? MSNBC
