Default Poker Affiliate 101 by Jeremy Enke

As many of you already know, Jeremy and I are in the process of creating Poker Affiliate 101

An all new Ebook by Jeremy Enke entitled Poker Affiliate 101 will be out soon! This book will be the most advanced poker affiliate publication ever written and will include both beginner and advanced poker affiliate strategies.

There is already a huge amount of invaluable information and advice here on the Poker Affiliate World forums but my question to all PAW members and especially to you lurkers who are thinking about entering the poker affiliate business is:

Specifically, what affiliate strategies and nuggets of information can we add to Poker Affiliate 101 that you feel would help you become a more successful affiliate?

What are you currently struggling with and need the answers to?

Here is a sneak-peak of the chapters we are currently working on:

Chapter 1 – Overview What is a Poker Affiliate?

Chapter 2 – Commission Plans – MGR vs. CPA

Chapter 3 – Choosing the right rooms to promote

Chapter 4 – Traits of a successful poker affiliate website

Chapter 5 – Building a player database

Chapter 6 – Converting traffic to real money players

Chapter 7 – Promoting to a global audience

Chapter 8 – Search Engine Optimization

Chapter 9 – Ideas to get started promoting

Chapter 10 – Poker affiliate pitfalls and things to avoid

Chapter 11 – Poker Affiliate Resources

Chapter 12 – Benefits of Promoting through the PAW Network

Jeremy and myself are having a blast with this project so far, we both love sharing what we've learnt from our many years of experience in the affiliate marketing industry and would very much appreciate your input into making Poker Affiliate 101 worthy of representing the PAW communities reputation for always being helpful and amazingly cordial to each other, considering the competitive nature of this industry.

I consider Poker Affiliate 101 our Ebook.... representing the PAW family.

If you have some ideas and would like to contribute in someway, and of course benefit for your efforts please PM me.

Now back to the original purpose of this thread.

Specifically, what information would you just love to discover inside the pages of Poker Affiliate 101 to help you become a more successful affiliate?

First of all, I think this is an excellent idea!

How much will you be selling this e-book for?

It sounds really good so far - I know I would learn something from it. But, when I think of "101" I think of a very basic, freshman level college course.

So, when you say it will be "the most advanced poker affiliate publication ever written", it's kind of confusing to me.If I were to see it for sale, just looking at the title, I would think it was strictly for beginners and only goes over basic information. Of course, if I looked into it further, like the chapters, I might want to pick it up.

Maybe you could make it into two volumes...one for beginners (the basic stuff that more advanced affiliates could skip over and then an advanced volume (for people like me who think we're advanced.)

Basically, what I'm saying is, I would suggest changing the title unless you are strictly targeting newbies and further, I would suggest maybe even making it in to two books or volumes instead of one.

As far as your questions...I would love to discover exactly how you did it...in detail. I want to feel like you told me your best secrets...like you spilled the beans. I would like to see examples. I would like to see specific tools and methods that you use and I would want most of those methods and tools to be free. I hate buying a book that tries to sell me other shit.

Now, since I tried to help...please PM me when you are ready send me a FREE copy - I can't wait to read it! Thanks!

1/ Negotiation strategies. How to negotiate with the poker rooms to get the most out of the program.

My main thought here is....after I've been promoting them and doing well. How do you go about negotiating with a room that knows damn well you don't want to stop promoting them?

I'd like to see a section on web sites. Now days there is: Standard Html sites, Wordpress sites, Various cms sites, flash sites, and the list goes on.. What site is best for what we want to do? Are market is so saturated we need every advantage we can get seo wise..

Also, I'd like to see a section on various promos. Freerolls, money added tournaments, etc. What kind of promos actually drive traffic..

You'll have to wait for Jeremy's answer to that one. It may turn out to be free but you can be sure that the information contained inside will be worth much more than the asking price if there is one.

I personally spend thousands of dollars per year on internet marketing educational products. They're tax deductible

If I learn just one new thing from a $47 marketing book I bought on ClickBank I consider it money very well-spent by saving me countless hours of searching the net looking for a possible free alternative.

Expert knowledge is power.... and your time? ....... irreplaceable.

The original plan was to create a series of Ebooks from beginner to advanced. Thanks for your enlightening input chane.

This project is in motion and completely fluid as to what is will finally become.

That's why I'm asking for your comments and suggestions.

Anything is possible.

Great question.... Jeremy and I will do our best to explain what negotiating techniques have worked best from our experience working with affiliate managers in the past.

Thanks Donk.

Another great question.... I don't know how we could define "best for what we want to do" because all of those website building tactics could be profitable depending on the individual.

Personally I'm a HTML mini-site, tightly themed to one profitable keyword or phrase, type of webmaster.

I'm picking the low hanging fruit and you don't even know that I'm there.

That's what works for me personally, that's my style.

High profile blogging with Wordpress rocks for others, like Jeremy says:

"There's a million ways to make a million dollars"

Thanks for your input Holyman we'll be sure to address these important issues and examine all sides in:

Chapter 4 – Traits of a successful poker affiliate website

Please feel free to add your ideas, suggestions or comments to this thread.

Thanks everyone.

One thing I have always wondered is optimal ad placement. When and where to put banners vs. text links. The whole idea of where to put banner ads on your website and which ads to place has always troubled me. I think that would be a great chapter, unless its already included in one of the other ones.

I think Chapters 4 and 10 should be pretty interesting. Sounds like the book should be very good.
