Default Non Gambling Legal Free Poker Affilate Sites for Canadians

Here in Canada it is illegal to advertise poker gambling sites, I was wondering if someone knows of any sites that are non gambling where I can send users to and they offer me money for sending members.

In turn they get members they can advertise the Poker Gambling sites to and I get paid commision for leads legally because there is no gambling involved on those sites.

Technically, he's right.

My partners and I were advised by Michael Lipton (essentially THE gaming law expert in Canada) that we were technically in violation of the criminal code by promoting online gambling.

We were, in essence, promoting what the criminal code deems an illegal institution/enterprise.

He also said we were about as likely to get arrested for J walking than running an affiliate website.

With all of that said, he also said the laws as they apply to promoting online gambling have yet to be tested in Canada (ie, nobody has been arrested/charged with it), so if I happened to get arrested, make sure I gave him a call so he could be the first to challenge it....lol

It was an experience just meeting with him and talking gambling....the guy really knows his stuff. As interesting as it was...it was tough to pay $600+ an hour to listen to him tell cool stories....

Thank you for the insight! Did he make any recommendations of things you can do to reduce the chances of anything happening? (ie. promoting .net only or something like that)

I believe he covered some things at CAC Montreal - I'll dig out my notes tomorrow and see what I have.
