Trying too hard to try make money in other markets and not hard enough in poker. I get so caught up in the programming side of things and writing cool scripts that don't make any money but are fun to write.

- Playing too much poker
- Not focusing enough on my current traffic and trying to improve my conversions
- Not focusing enough on the content that actually made the money

Taking on too many projects at one time, some people have quoted that its easier to have 10 websites to make $1,000 a month rather than 1.

I would like to have 1 full, respectable website instead of 10 works in progress. They all make money, but 1 pride and joy / heart and soul is what i need for the big kahuna. IMO

-Not playing enough poker
-Believing that some partners who really have no interest in business would work as hard as I did to make our site work

I think my mistake was not focusing on the big picture.. It also took me a while before I started asking the right questions on PAW and started networking with some of the better affiliates on here..

My biggest mistake was when I first started talking with Randy- I was lucky enough to do some work for him and at first I thought he was crazy! Then I realized I knew nothing and started learning.

Thanks again Randy!!! You the man!

- Started outsourcing to late! This is a hobby project and we do not have time to develop enough and we did not reinvest our money fast enough. We have learned and going to do this year differently.
- Maybe playing to much poker, but that gives an income so shouldnt complain i guess.

HA! At least I am not the only one. I did it for a month with Poker Stars (poker Stars had a nicely written review and no links or banners to download from) and Bodog...

Red face

From what I've earned and have read , I pretty much blew the whole year on being an affiliate.....Now I'm reading up and doing things differently . The first thing was getting myself a host and all , so I'm hoping that's a step in the right direction .

Don't fret Skinsky. Everyone has to start somewhere. Just read up, search the forum, ask questions, and apply what you learn. It is a constant learning process. Lord knows most of us have come a lonnnnngg way from when we first got started.
