My biggest mistake is spending too much of my time on petty design issues and not enough time writing content...also giving new ideas a real shot....marketing plans I rejected months ago are helping me a lot these days...never knock something until you have tried it.

My biggest mistake was making too many plans and forgetting to develop my main website.

2007 was the year that really put me in the business, but I hope I can develop a lot in 2008.

my biggest mistake is forgetting that you usually don't need more than $1000 to follow a good idea.

I spent a lot of money on AlwaysBluff in 2007 making virtually every mistake in the book.

I thought a lot about this question. It is funny because I see a lot of "get on your horse" advice coming out of this forum lately. Which is better than the alternative but there is surprising little being said about the failures. Between partners being accused of cheating and google changing every other week this is an industry that can really test you mentally.

My biggest mistake (there were many!) was not joining and participating in PAP, CAP and GPWA until the year was nearly over.

The resources available through these forums are priceless to a new webmaster (especially one as inexperienced as me). I could have saved myself a lot of grief and struggle if I had known of these forums sooner.

Better late than never!

Starting HUUUUUUGE projects.. instead of starting perhaps a bit smaller and growing into them.

Thinking traffic was the key.. bah.. learning what to do with those ppl didn't hurt to much (still workin' on that too.)

Not learning enough. I can be hard headed, I like to think I know everything.

Not interlinking enough, interlinking a bit to much.

Working to dang much.

- Personal - Forgot to move a stereo in here, music is dang motivational.
- Didn't volunteer enough in schools.
- Work to dang much.

My biggest mistake was that it took me to long to realize how powerful WordPress is.

So easy to use, add content, etc and Google seems to love my WordPress sites!

Personal:
1.Loosing the love of my life so far, to work
2.Getting my credit card ripped for 8.000 $ on a strip joint, cos i was drunk due to 1.

Business:
1. Not telling pokeraffiliate.com to showe it, when we experienced bad service the first time.
2. All the time i personally wasted on not writing, planning, reading and promoting, cos i was to lazy/stressed find my own place or a decent office.
3. Not niching it enough
