I just got back from London and CAP Euro, and it was definitely one of the best trips I've ever been on. I'm sure this post will get long, but for those of you who didn't attend you can get a feel for the event.
Tuesday Night:
Boarderman23 and I drive up to our local airport because we're staying overnight there and flying out early in the A.M. Of course when we get there our reservation is screwed up so we end up not getting to bed until 3 A.M. Sleep deprivation begins...
Wednesday:
We wake up around 5 and head to the airport. Fly over to Chicago, then to Heathrow in London. When we get to Heathrow we grab our bags and instantly a man is on us offering to help and to drive us to our airport. Not thinking at all, we hop in his car (which absolutely reeked of weed) and drive off with him.
Half an hour later we're at the Hilton. As we get out he says that it'll be 75 pounds for the ride. Both our jaws dropped... for those of you who don't know, 75 pounds is about $150. Money blowing begins...
Thursday:
We didn't get much sleep Wednesday night because our room was steaming hot and our sleep schedules were screwed up from the time difference. We wake up around noon to head to the Affiliate Bootcamp thing.
We missed all the morning speakers, and got there just in time for the free lunch. After that, we asked when Jeremy Enke would be speaking, and they lady informed us that there had been a late cancellation... and he would not be making it. BTW Jeremy, you were the only reason we were attending that at all lol

.
After hearing that we headed back up to the room to sleep, then came back down to hit the open bar. After that it was off to the
PAW dinner. I got to meet Jeremy, Nick, Kyle, Brandon, Graham, John, GoodKarmaKid, Beanie, and I'm sure I'm leaving out others. Dinner was fantastic, and we had a blast.
I really can't even remember where we went after the dinner. Maybe that was the opening party? Who knows. All I know is I once again got no sleep at all...
Friday:
The conference started Friday, so we were up early to head over. It's amazing how many booths and people actually are at the thing. We went to a few speaking sessions, and met with a lot of rooms and casinos we're looking to work with.
Once you meet them and chat for a while, you're almost guaranteed to get a higher rate right away. Plus it's great to get to know the AM's you've been working with.
Friday night was the CAP awards, and that was quite an event. Not only were Jeremy and Greg's topless girls walking around, but it was a fantastic meal. After dinner they had a comedian who just killed it, I was laughing so hard the entire time.
Alright this is starting to get long, and I have to board my plane. I'll add more later...
