Best give away items right now

As many of you know I have been working on a new business model for several months that involves text messaging. I will make a more detailed post about this later with a special PAP sign-up bonus rate.

But the general idea is that we have come up with a way for you to finally capitalize on freerollers, or to simply make money off the massive market of SMS with various custom promo's of your choice.

You will be able to do your own custom promo's or piggyback off of ours. Here's a quick example. We host a freeroll with cash or an ipod added. You promote the freeroll to your forum, list, ect. However in order to gain entry or get the password, your members must text "yourcode" to 667673 or whatever. Obviously you disclose that the SMS will cost $2, $3 or whatever.

The beauty about SMS is that it is so transparent and unlike trying to get people to deposit. Most people don't think twice about spending a few dollars on their cell's since they just see the bill at the end of the month and pay it anyways.

Anyways, once the text gets sent you can have the reply directly send them the password or direct them to a page on your site where you can also capture a sign up, give the password, or whatever.

This will be launched in beta at first and we will need some testers. To kick it off however I am trying to think of a prize to give away that will help YOU get more conversions.

I would have to say a Xbox360 or PS3 would be good, but might target mostly players under 25ish

OMG talk about thinking outside of the box and simple. I mean look at all these people who go and vote for junk on the tv and yet they wont pay any mind to it. I am constantly on my hubby about the cell phone

Jeremey, great idea. I know someone here in Costa Rica running a similar strategy and its producing excellent results.

Let me know how yours works out. As far as the prize goes, yes the PS3 is always a hot item, over 25 if they have kids can save them for Christmas

Agree with the above two that the Wii is the best giveaway prize. Nintendo DS too, as both are very hard to actually purchase in a B&M. I've did some giveaways over the past few months, and when I do either of those products, I get the best response. And the great thing is that buying them off ebay is still a better deal than the other systems, despite a usually inflated price. Also gift certificates for the likes of Amazon etc work too - and for whatever reason, always seem to bring in a better response than actual cash money.

As for the prizes, i run a browser based game and we have been giving away prizes but for our next giveaway i decided to let the members vote between:

The top 3 are pretty close but most of them want the ps3 [which we've been giving away already anyway ]

I wonder if you can work with the poker rooms so that each password that is sent only works one time, thus not allowing one person to get it and post it across a million message boards.
