Poker Affiliate Conference

Although the CAP Events have become a huge success for the overall gaming industry, I think there is a need for a smaller conference that is dedicated to just poker.

At the same time though I realize there are many events and traveling can get expensive. So with that we are planning an affiliate conference that is exclusive to poker. This conference will be right before CAP Spring Break and at the same venue.

The first two days will be 100% focused on poker, and the following 2 days will be what everyone has come to love about CAP Spring Break......relaxing on the beach, great parties, and NOT doing business.

I am looking to put together an advisory committee or focus group for the event. I want the poker affiliates to help decide who we get for speakers as well as what some of the things you'd like to see are. I also wouldn't mind having a few A.M.'s on the committee.

Being on the advisory committee is pretty simple and we will probably just do a few conference calls to put our heads together. The poker conference will be smaller than the general CAP Events, however much more focused.

We acquired PokerConference.com as well and will get a site up with more details very soon. Please feel free to share any comments or suggestions for the event in this thread.

Sounds like a great event Jeremy. Although I'm not 100% sure I would be able to attend. I would love to be part of the committee, of nothing else to learn what/how these things work. Maybe just a fly on the wall type thing.

Also, I think since I'm one of the newer affiliates I can give a good perspective of what I would like to see there. What would help us understand the business better and what speakers would be the most beneficial..

Thats a really neat idea and if I can help just ask. Curious do you think there will be plans for a Canadian confrence. I know the Montreal one didnt go over to well but that was over a year ago and things are always changing. With the right place it could do well
