Angry

"This decision will not make a huge impact on your players; as based on our analysis it has been found that any player who creates an account and does not deposit within 60 days is unlikely to ever convert."

What a joke. I just did a report for the last six months and 25% of all my real-money players deposited after 60 days.

If they don't reverse this decision soon then I will drop them both as an affiliate and a player.

Greedy crooks.

Utterly disgusting

Full Tilt already charges an arm and leg against the rake now they don't even want to give you credit?

Yes i'd like to know if a player transfer counts as a deposit.

Full Tilt has sunk to a new low

Eh - I don't agree with Full Tilt doing this at all, but I've seen a lot worse. And it was in the T&C when signing up. Hopefully they'll realize that this is just going to create a lot of negativity in the affiliate industry though, and decide against it.

What I don't understand is that a lot of affiliates promote the .net sites or state that you can try the software out for free...

Now we have to say, if you don't deposit within 60 days you won't get our bonus offer.

Boo on you FT!

This is sad, and just another reason why I'm working my way out of the poker affiliate industry.

As affiliates we have to put a lot of faith into other companies, and most of them end up making bad decisions.

Its upsetting to think that Full Tilt could have bumped every one up in MGR/CPA's and it would have achieved the same result (increased profit margins). It would have also gained them more affiliates, better positions on sites, and more loyalty throughout the affiliate community.

Some people just don't get it.

That's a great point Justin. Whoever made this decision at Full Tilt needs to start reading Seth Godin's blog.

The only way they will stop it is if affiliates remove them. Have you removed FTP off yours yet?

Here's my first removal. Going to take a while to wipe them off completely, but in the mean time it looks even worse for them the way my site is now. The rest of my sites to follow.

You can't simply beg them to stop this. You have to force the issue. Otherwise, everyone will get what they deserve.

The thing that bothers me most is that Full Tilt tried to spin this as something that is good for the affiliate, and that it is good news in general. That is just sickening, and shows a lack of respect for their partners. Obviously the only one that benefits is Full Tilt

If, as stated by one of your reps, you (Full Tilt) really believe this doesn't make much difference then don't do it. Obviously we as affiliates KNOW it is a big deal and we don't like it. So if it's not a big deal to you then don't enforce it. While you are at it, just go ahead and remove this "meaningless" item from your terms. Thanks in advance.

If the smaller poker rooms take notice to a thread like this they would soon realize they could pick up alot of very good affiliates right now and increase their own traffic.

I don't think affiliates ask for much from the programs we promote. Just our share of the pie that is promised us for promoting their brand and to be treated with respect.

This move by Full Tilt should open the eyes to smaller rooms, not lead them to believe this is the right thing to do just because FT is one of the big boys.

I hope some affiliate program steps up and gives the affiliates here at PAP an honest and fair deal and does not change the rules half way through the game.

Who will it be? Someone step up and let us work with you instead of FT if this is the direction they want to go.
