Default New Terms at Fulltilt - your players have only 60 days to deposit

I got the new newsletter and i dont like what i read:

As an affiliate, we want to make sure you get the credit you deserve for directing real-money players to Full Tilt Poker.
Our Affiliate Agreement defines a real money player as someone who makes their first real money deposit within 60 days of signing up on our site.
Beginning April 1st, any player who waits longer than 60 days to make their first deposit will not be credited to any affiliate account. Make sure you don't lose any of the credit - or players - you deserve. Use our promotions and advice to help turn your play money accounts into real money in your pockets.

Obviously this is a problem but then on the other hand, how many players go on to deposit after 60 days? I would think not many.

Not defending FT at all but think they number may be very, very low.

It is still a predatory term.

Losing a player we signed up just because they don't convert within 60 days is a terrible clause.

But when the numbers are low why this term?

I dont have the numbers but i am sure there are many people outside who test different rooms with playmoney or freerolls.

I agree haynesey, I think the term is wrong but just wanted to say it won't affect numbers that much.

With the TV add campaigns they run i think it will.

A player signs up, plays a few freerolls. 3 months later they see an Advertisement for FTP, Phil Ivey playing etc. Think back ahh i know that site i signed up, click in then deposit.

"Make sure you don't lose any of the credit - or players - you deserve. Use our promotions and advice to help turn your play money accounts into real money in your pockets."

Now without knowing our players email address, we have no way of being able to make them deposit. As soon as they leave our site, unless they return we can't just make them convert. It's fulltilt's job.

I have been recruiting players to Fulltilt since their doors opened up. It's not uncommon each month to see players convert to RMP's that may have signed up a year or two ago. (I know it sounds crazy, but it happens). I am talking about a total player base of X,XXX as well.

I will ask Nell and Jessica about this. I have seen other programs have this type of policy in past, but most never enforce it.

I would be very disappointed if all the players I sent in 05, 06, & 07 just disappear in in a couple months from my reports. It's bad enough as an MGR affiliate thinking back to all the whales I lost to rakeback over the years.

This is horrible news..I have been promoting full tilt for years and would say the amount of players that deposit after 60 days is quite high. Checking this months sign up report shows 30% of this months depositing players signed up over 60 days ago.. Thats a huge loss to have to take on..

I agree with all of you guys. When I first started playing I downloaded the software of all the recommended rooms. I started off playing freerolls. When I started playing cash about a week later I played at PartyPoker and PokerStars for about 6 months. After that I started playing everywhere else with my account I created a long time beforehand. If this rule was enforced, the affiliates would have lost out. The only people that can benefit from this is the poker room itself. Doesn't sound in the best interest of preserving the "partnership" affiliates have with poker rooms.
