Question Best way to list LIVE poker tournaments on site?

Part of the main content of my niche is a listing of all the live casino poker tournaments in our area.

I've struggled to develop something that's user-friendly since the beginning. I want it to be,
  • Easy to read
  • Well organized
  • Printable
I also want to have the upcoming tournaments routed to the front page. So my members can come each day and know what tournaments and promotions are running that day.

If that's not enough to ask, I would also like SE spiders to be able to read the data. (I have a table plugin installed and I don't think SE's can see the info)

I've done the table thing here:http://www.gulfcoastpoker.com/biloxi...ment-schedule/

I've even tried google calendar with an event feed plugin to the front page. To me, the calendar looks too cluttered (all the tournaments are not even on there) and the full details won't show up under the print screen. The event feed on the front page isn't showing correctly either. Here's the google calendar page: http://www.gulfcoastpoker.com/live-p...ts-promotions/

Should I do something with a downloadable spreadsheet? Or this there some sort of database that would accomplish all these things?

I'd love to hear your suggestions.

As simple as it sounds, our local poker group has been using google calendar on the site, and it looks to be very simple to use, integrate, and update. You can check it out here just under the scroll.

CMS systems like xoops etc have modules that will do this for you, you can even assign them groups.....I run a community wakeboarding site and use different colors to represent different states.

Green =WI etc. I bet you could do a similar system (Green = rebuy etc).

I like the idea of color codes to represent different types of tournaments. Although my site is already built using Wordpress, I'd like to see what you are referring to. Would you mind posting a link?

Thanks for the quick response Jeremy. I like the way Google calendar looks on the site you linked to. And I agree that Google is really easy to use.

My only issue was that the monthly view of the calendar looks too cluttered when you start adding several tournaments per day.

After taking a second look, I really like the "Agenda" view on G-calendar. Unless I find something better, I'll just stick with our friends @ Google.

Thanks again for the input.
