Default Poker Conference Topic - YOU Decide!

Fellow PAPians,

As the 2008 Poker Conference approaches, I have been speaking with Jeremy a lot on how to give the Affiliates attending GREAT value. Although travel to Cyprus is a bit more then another venue, I still believe this is a can't miss event. With Jeremy leading the charge, you can expect an incredible conference.

Back on topic. Jeremy asked me to speak at the conference which I happily agreed to. While thinking of a topic, I figured I would turn it to the members. So here is how it will work.

In this thread, give me topics that YOU want to learn about. We will take the top 5 or so topics and make a poll. The three with the most votes will be our topics of discussion.

Now you might be asking why I put OUR, well I have decided that Jeremy and Greg will be joining me for the speech to make it a panel of three. Have I asked them yet? No...but I am sure they are in

So give us your topics, what really interests you? What would you like to learn more about? What are you sick of hearing about? (so we know what to avoid)

Good call Brandon - I would like you to discuss the importance of retention via affiliates.

I see this increasing as poker sites become more and more popular as players' first point of contact into the industry.

Do something risque, like "How not to get screwed over by an affiliate program"

Shields up... It was just a joke And has nothing to do with Chan at all (I work with them a lot and love working with Brandon).

Retention and the importance of re-activating accounts of players who were real money players and now left for some reason or another...

We just did an entire re activating tactic using rake back which I was against but it has added quite a bit of money to the bottom line this month. These were players who were not active for 120 days and we offered a great rake back deal to them and we had 58 come back.

I guess some revenue is better than none

Great requests so far, don't be shy guys and girls. A great opportunity to hear about the topic of your choice from Jeremy, Greg, and I.

I think it would be beneficial to hear your (Jeremy, Greg and Brandon's) views on the future of the market and how you see the industry evolving say over the next two years. You could focus on current issues, adaptation strategies and discuss new markets. Also, would like to hear about Brandon and Greg's history in the industry including Brandon's internship at PAW.

Great Ideas John, I would love to share my stories from the internship and then Director of Operations at PAW. This was my "start" in the industry, and I wouldn't be where I am now without it.

Focusing on international markets. Yes I did read your article in GPWA mag Jeremy but I am sure you have more that you could share. How to really target these players besides translations.
