Update on PAP Radio Show

Finally I have found the best solution for our radio show and organized everything. I ordered and should be getting the equipment this week as well as the stuff for the phone lines.

As you can see we are going to go through Live365. The shows will be live streaming media right from PAP where we will be able to take phone calls and have guests. Likewise each show will be podcasted.

This is actually very exciting to me as I think it will be fun and web 2.0 <----(geek) to connect with affiliates in a live radio format. Plus if you know me, it will be a mix of business and fun at the same time.

I imagine the first show will be the week after CAC. So if any of you guys have some topics in mind feel free to suggest.

I am pretty pumped about the whole thing for our community. It will be nice for members to finally hear and associate real people behind all the screen names and avatars!

Hey Ridge,

It's funny you brought that up. I actually just sent an email to my partners about the radio show today as I was testing stuff. The live streaming station is actually set up now. You can get to the station here Poker Affiliate Radio. I just have some random songs playing for now. Once we go live for beta, we will have a page on PAP with a proper link to it as well.

Again were just getting to the beta stage.

I have a few thousand dollars worth of radio equipment sitting in my office right now though that I can't wait to use. I can broadcast just fine onto the station with my microphone, headphones, and mixing board. So if you hear me talking about random stuff at 2 AM on there, it is just testing!

Unfortunately I am waiting on one last piece that will plug-in to my VOIP phone so I can take calls. Once we get that, we're good to go.

As soon as I get that next week, we will do a few beta shows just to test the equipment out. I'll need you guys' help testing too. Thanks in advance

Hey Matt, yes this is exactly how we will do the show. From the hours of research I have been doing, to have a successful radio show you have to have a good structure in place from the beginning.

I am not sure on the Rocky music, but we may be able to work that in!
