Lol, we are pretty laid back over here about that kind of stuff. I wasn't asking how much they earn, just wondering how influential their bonus was in terms of their overall compensation. Sorry if I crossed a line

On average most affiliate managers will receive a base salary based on their experience and contacts and then a commission on top. I have seen this done two different ways. One is where a manager is paid on the overall affiliate program - usually 5-10% or just a percentage of what their affiliates who they bring in directly will receive 15-20%

Default Aff Managers

Hi All

I can only speak here from experience and will not go into detail on how much I earned or earn but will make it as clear as possible for you.

I started back in 2003 as an affiliate which went well, being my own boss, doing my own hours like you all do before sort of getting sort of sidetracked from the affiliate world into consulting.

The way i started was that I was working closely with the first company as a consultant which then leaded into me taking on another consultings job with another company.

When I was consulting, there was no bonuses included, it was just plain salary and the thing that I wasnt too keen on was that I knew how much money the company was making from my work and that sort of lead me into Affiliate management.

In 2004 i was approached by a new company which offered me a full time position which sounded much more appealing along with insentives from the partners that I brought in..

By 2006 I had worked my way from Affiliate manager to Head of Marketing and affiliates which offered a bigger salary and at the same time a much bigger bonus plan which worked on % profit sharing plan of the company profits.

Then at the start of 08 I was offered the position of Operations Manager at Iron Duke which, meant, taking more or less control over the full operational side of the poker site which leads me to last month where I actually took over as CEO...

The gaming business is like any other company that the harder you work, the more you will be rewarded, recognized and promotions will come in that effect also...

I love this industry, even though it certianly brings many challenges and constantly look into bettering myself in any possible way I can in order to make Iron Duke a better place for players and affiliates..

I hope this helps a bit

Colin

Hey Chris,

Like you need bonuses. Wouldn't anyone want to work with colleagues like he has
