Default Phone calls from rummy affiliates?

Hi
I have not heard of "rummy affiliates" nor have I visited their website either. Today however someone managed to get my parents phone number and phone them up looking for me (my mum thinks its all a bit strange) and it has caused a bit of tension. Is this legal?

This doesn't seem right at all - The guys Rummy Affiliates are always keen but I haven't seen reports on this before. They are certified on CAP so maybe post in their forum or contact them and find out exactly where they got yoru details.

I am not sure about the legality of the situation especially as they are based in another country. I saw you are in the UK, so you can put your number on a list which means you won't receive cold calls and if a company does break this they get in all sorts of trouble.

Default Soliciting

hi

According to what I know, this is not legal in any way to solicit to non members of a group...

What coompanies tend to sometimes do is contact existing members and or affiliates to try and get better conversions, but this is normally stated on websites..

I had a similar problem with canbet a while back who also contacted my parents, and still dont know how they managed to get their number...

Best

Colin

Sounds like data adhesion

Did either of you have an account at Pinnacle Sports, they are usually the source or involved somehow in most complaints like this.

My mums number on the list which means you won't receive cold calls, she said the guy had an american accent. I have never heard of Pinnacle Sports, my parents do not use online gambling. She said his name was Yohavf or somethng like that.

I realise now that he most likely got the number from whois records, I still lived with my parents when I registered some of my sites way back and have never changed it.
