Default Bounced check from PartyPoker

I haven't seen anyone else report this problem yet, but I found out an hour ago at my bank (Bank of America) that my affiliate check from Party bounced this month. They told me this was because of insufficient funds by the writer of check.

I've just written to Party with my problem and hope to get a response asap. Anyone else in U.S. or elsewhere experience this with their latest check? ...and if you haven't noticed that this has happened, at least keep an eye on it to see if it does eventually bounce...I deposited the check a week ago, and it bounced yesterday.

Ive heard this happening to a few people in the usa , the reason is not for insufficient funds but that the checks are blocked .

Use the wire feature from party instead , it is free , and hits your account in 1 or 2 days

Yea I don't think it's a true bounce for insufficient funds, it's because the checks are drawn out of Barclays and there is no formal routing number on it.

Typically it's the result of some $8 an hour teller not knowing how to process a foreign check that is in USD with no routing #. I second the motion on opting for a wire.

that happened to me one time. I actually posted about it here somewhere. Go for the wire transfer. Party emailed me and sorted everything out.

Yeah, I didn't think the "insufficient funds" excuse made any sense, but my bank always took those checks before this. I'll take your advice and use the wire trans from now on... I just need Party to get back to me now and assure me that I'll still get that money.

That site and page is very old has nothing to do with this. Party is not jacking anybody, this is a simple U.S. bank issue with them not being able to figure out how to process a check from Barclays for the reasons I mentioned above.

He will get paid. Trust me, Party is not out of money, and doesn't have insufficient funds in their accounts.

Just wanted to update my situation...

I sent two emails to Party regarding the bounced check, using the "contact us" link in the affiliate section. Well, I never got a response.

On the plus side, my bank mailed me a copied version of that check that bounced, in the form of a check that I could deposit. It stated, "you can use this as a normal check." I just went to the bank and asked them about this, and why this check was valid but the original was rejected. They looked it over and thought it had something to do with the routing number, which Jeremy was right about. I deposited the new version, but they had to fill out some extra paper work as the check has to be processed differently for some reason.

I'll be doing a wire transfer from now on, as I'd rather not go through this ordeal every month. Thanks for the help guys!
