hi all
this is probably a how long is a piece of string question but ...
I am trying to assess if my review pages are too laid back on the call to action stuff ... I tend not to be so keen on a "buy it / get it now" best thing since sliced bread approach - which may be right or maybe wrong
so my question is this - what is a decent ball park
conversion number for vistors to a poker site review page to registered signup at a site ?
I appreciate that there are a hell of alot of variables
eg. how good the sites stats are at actually tracking genuine signups etc which would through this out but ...
say for example I am getting 30 unique visitors per day to xyz review page
and then I'm seeing 8 signups per day right at the other end on the poker sites affiliate stats
this is a rough
conversion of 1in4 or 25%
is this good / bad or typical ?????
I know this isnt a terribly scientific approach (as I have sites which do better and worse) but I want to be maximising the
conversion rate of visitors to my review pages as this is probably more effective at increasing rev than just getting more traffic which would convert at a similar rate
so is 25% a reasonable rate or is there alot of room for improvement ?
as I have a pretty similar approach on all review pages I guess any improvements on sales technique / call to action /
conversion would work over all the reviews
cheers in advance for any suggestions / thoughts / feedback and figures other think they get
