I think some of the bigger incentive sites are actually on a CPA or hybrid plan. The reason they can stay on CPA is the sheer volume they send.

Essentially using incentives is more for marketing and like 99% of people wont qualify for them anyway but the idea of them will get people to my site and people in the rooms.

Seems like the last year or two poker affiliates have been getting the shaft in this regard by not allowing any use of this neccessary marketing tool .

Lets be honest this business is ALL ABOUT incentives. The bonuses are incentives, the CPA and MGRs ARE incentives but we cannot offer small incentives to visit our sites?

How can we compete? Im not talking about scamming but legit reasonable incentives like most successful sites offer.

I really wish I got in this biz 3-5 years ago.

They say it encourages bad players or whatever but I think it depends on how you set it up. By not allowing us ANY incentives then why would a good player sign up through us? Just like why would we work for recruiting players if the rooms didnt offer US incentives. See what im saying?

1. Knowones getting shafted. If you can send 1000's of players, people will be more inclined to listen to you.

2. Necessary tool? How are incentives necessary tools? I know people sending 100's of players to 10+ rooms without the use of incentives, apart from those already offered such as room bonuses.

Remember room bonuses, promotions, tournaments are all incentives you should be utilising.

You're going to have to do some work to come up in this industry, but the barriers to entry are tiny compared other industries. Getting traffic to your site is difficult, but anyone can do it with hard work and some creativity. It doesn't matter what you offer if you don't get enough traffic.

Welcome to the world of business, it is nothing new you have to deal with it. Nothing is going to change it! There really is no point looking at others and the position they are in with envy. You will just let them get further ahead, instead as is said chip away with what you can. There are those in the industry who are open to negotiations without any prior history, get in touch with your affiliate managers see what you can strike up.

I was looking at them like any business should by seeing what kind of competition your up against. Its all good. Hopefully my AMs let me use some minor incentives. If not I will make due with the standard bonus, freeroll stuff.

Who said your not allowed to use incentives ? Most rooms dont care if you do .
Just dont expect to get paid if all of your referrals play the minumum amount of hands and make the minimum deposit to get you your cpa .
