I think I have an idea that I haven't really seen around here. It is a couple of ideas actually. I was just wondering what you guys thought.
Well I got lucky the other day and my father bought an old bus that he plans on converting into a motor home. What I was thinking of doing was getting a banner pretty much the size of the side of the bus, then renting a parking space downtown next to the stadium on college football gamedays. I figure this to be marketing to the ultimate demographic for our business. I figure the banner to cost me anywhere from $300 to $600 and I don't know what for the parking space, maybe $50-$100 a day. Is the parking space worth it for that price? What is the highest price you would pay for the parking space?
Putting a banner on the bus led me to think about where else I could get a banner or advertisement. In my town surrounding the stadium and downtown are old and cheap houses that mostly college students live in. Usually a group of 4 or 5 will rent out an incredibly large old house. Well I was thinking of looking for a house that had a lot of the college gameday traffic pass by and see about putting a banner on the side of the house, or on their fence or something. I would offer the college kids that rented the house something for letting me do this of course and depending on how well it worked out I might make a deal to keep it up there permanently. What would be a fair price to offer the tenants of the house?
The only thing that I need to worry about when is the local rules for outdoor advertising but as long as I don't get the banners made too huge I think I should be able to slide by.
Hopefully this will be a good deal.
Thanks for reading.
