Give us a bit more information:

Is this your first site?
How long as it been running for?
What do you mean by "I've been really good up to now?"

Sure, I have advice: Don't have unrealistic expectations.

The truth is it's becoming more and more difficult to succceed, but it's certainly not impossible. It requires a ton of hard work, that is undeniable.

Tell us a bit about your site/sites. How long have you been working on them, what kind of traffic are you getting? What kind of conversion rates? Do you know anythinig about SEO? What is the 5 most important lessons you've learned so far since you started out?

Hi and thank you for the replies. Yes my first site and only been up about a month. My expectations are not high and i know i wont see any sort of reward for many months ( if not years lol) but i am ok with that as im not primarily in it as a get rich scheme. Far from it. my love of poker is the main reason i started the site then realised that there could be money in it. I think i have just become overwhelmed with the amount to do and get frustrated when i have to do the boring 9 to 5 job but want to be at home working on my site. I know i have the reviews to do yet but they are being worked on and i know google wont like my site till its been around a awhile.
As for seo - still doing the reading on all that and trying to follow it. As for being really good - meant i work on the site everynight, i practically live in the forum learning from all your great advice and im constantly trying to add new stuff. Hits are low but i know this will be the case as its new but it manages on avereage 50 to 100 a day.
I think i just need a boot up the arse and rememebr to keep at it.

Keep up the hard work. I have seen new affiliates take at least 6 months before they started earning with us. It might be less with other poker rooms or more, I don't know for sure.

The fact that you are reading these forums and working hard on your site, shows that you will be successful if you keep with it.

Keep adding things to your site that you think people would be interested in, and eventually they will come.

Keep on keep on!

Mark

I think there are various stages of excitement: seeing your website finally go live and then seeing some traffic start to find it keeps you motivated at the beginning.

The next stage for you is seeing that first sale come in. That always motivates you.

As mypokercorner said, I think you need to be realisitc about your expectations though. After a month you should still be adding to the site and tweaking (hell, I still am after more than 6 months). It's a competive area and you're not going to see any major returns for a while yet.

You said you love poker though ... so maybe think of the site as more of a hobby than a money-making venture at the moment. Just concentrate on getting your thoughts and ideas of the game up on to the net.

site looks pretty good.

I would get rid of the javascript linking on the front page ASAP and use regular text links to your interior content.

unique page titles and descriptions on every page.

focus some unique content on females playing poker... specific female strategies... some bios of female players.

Lets get a more concrete focus on your home page... something above the fold that catches readers attention and entices them to click further within your site.

get a mentor.

keep working, 50-100 uniques after 1 month is pretty solid imo.
