well, Graham, you're OBV wrong...

I just know a good poker site when I see one, and good affiliate managers like Amy are hard to find.

Maybe you buy YOUR mailing lists from somewhere, but I seriously doubt that they do, and neither does anyone else that I know.

Hope you have a wonderful day. Seems to me that you just enjoy trying to stir up trouble... totally unnecessary.

I am getting emails from them, and I assure you I did not sign up for their program.

I am not doubting her abilities. All I did was suggest a more tactful way of handling affiliates without the spam. People like Brandon, Mark, Chris, Dean, my am from Bodog...these are kick ass AM's and I have never seen them spam, or solicit affiliates like I have seen other rooms lately.

Edit - I did end up having a chat with the owner of Spin and he seems like a nice guy. Anyway he said they weren't interntionally trying to spam affiliates. The email addies they have are from previous contacts. He seems alright and is open to hearing ideas from affiliates

So, if they are so good, why don't you explain what is so good about them? Because, all I see is a skin on a network with a really bad $6 domain, nice design, but it takes excessively long to load due to them probably being on a $10/month hosting plan. Am I missing something?

Wow, are you in little child? Your response to me asking about them buying email lists which they have been using to spam affiliates is "Maybe you buy YOUR mailing lists"? Great comeback? Honestly, don't comment on something you know nothing about. Spin32 has clearly bought some email list which they have been using to spam affiliates. I am sure every affiliate on this site has been spammed by them, and trust me, none of them gave over their email addresses to them.

Sure, Amy may be a good AM, but she works for a shitty company that resorts to really weak marketing tactics. A good AM isn't always enough justification to promote a site.

I had a post up, hence the edit and because someone has questioned why I removed it I am relaying it again. I recieved an email today from the CEO of Spin (originally I had his name in the post.) This was the email. " Hi

I am following up the e-mail we sent last week and wondered what you thought of our offer?

Please let me know as we are about to stop this promotion. Or Register here today www.Spin32Live.com and email me your user name so that I can include you.

Best regards
CEO Spin32 Entertainment Ltd"

I replied with this "Hi xxxxx

I am not interested in the program right now. I have been receiving alot of emails from you guys and I also addressed this on the poker affiliate program forums. I do believe that someone has got my name from a list they bought because of the connection the affiliate manager made with the sites to me (which I dont own anymore)

Thank you for the follow up, but as of right now I would like to see how your room continues to market themselves.

Thanks

Cheryle "

I removed the email because the owner contacted me on MSN and due to the issues with the US he didnt want his name on forums (undertsandable) I guess I could have just removed the name but I deletd it all....anyway we chatted for a good half hour and he is up for ideas and feedback from affiliates.

Just dont want anyone thinking why the big change in my post

Idea #1 - Fire Amyspin for spamming
Idea #2 - Offer somehting original
Idea #3 - Do somehting to make up to all of us affiliates that have been getting spammed for the last two weeks or more
Idea #4 - Develop a REAL marketing plan
Idea #5 - Hire a Real AM
Idea #6 - Hire a Marketing Company

I don't think it was just Amy spamming... I think the CEO himself was spamming also.

Idea #2 - Offer something original

That is the key! All these sites launch all the time but have nothing different to offer. I think the only way for a new site to do well is to either have an excellent marketing plan, or to really stand out from the competition.

Idea #1 - Fire Amyspin for spamming - lol I dont think that would do it. I think they need to come to teh decsion in what they want for the company. Do they want solid affiliates who will bust their ass promoting them or do they want to pick up some shady affiliates.

Idea #2 - Offer somehting original - exactly..but I am also wondering and maybe Brandon can chime in here. With these sites on networks how much control do they have on the room and what they offer. Is it the same as a franchise in the real world where you do what the parent company allows you to do, or do they have the ability to make choices in what they offer their players. How much room is there for a skin ?

Idea #3 - Do somehting to make up to all of us affiliates that have been getting spammed for the last two weeks or more

An apology would work..but not always the case with everyone.

Idea #4 - Develop a REAL marketing plan - YES
Idea #5 - Hire a Real AM - YES
Idea #6 - Hire a Marketing Company - YES

I removed all references to the pornstar issue. Without proof, it doesn't need to be up here. Feel free to contact me to discuss it.

I know absolutely nothing about Spin32 apart from the fact they left flyers/cards all over the place at CAP Euro London.....It was a pleasure putting them all in the bin

P.S. There is a couple of stands in Barcelona if you want one

Seriously though, they don't sound anywhere near as bad as many other programs out there and if they are willing to listen/change/improve then who knows......
