Default Radio Show Idea - Suggestions

The radio show has been going very well and getting more listeners each week. However, for those of you that know me, you know when I get passionate about something I always try to make it better.

So here is where I need your suggestions;

In the past we have always had "segments" where we bring on guests and it is more of a Q&A session.

What I am thinking is that we should have 2 guests on each show, and have them with us during the entire show versus just a segment. With that, we can discuss various topics based on what the forum members want to hear discussed. I would like to make it more of a round table discussion versus a Q&A with individual guests in each segment. Although I'm sure depending on the people we have on that week, or the callers, we would still have some great questions for them. However it wouldn't just be myself, Greg, or Karl asking the questions or having all the dialog, it would also be the other guests and the callers.

Likewise, I think many people are also reluctant to call in to our show because we are always very involved with just 1 guest. I can easily see how that would deter people from wanting to call in. A round table would be a much more comfortable environment for the members and listeners to call in to.

Anyhow, now that we are using the new platform with more lines and call-in numbers, I would like to re-structure the format a bit.
Please share your comments and suggestions both good and bad. I am an affiliate and not a radio professional, so give me your honest thoughts. My vision is to continue making the weekly show a kick ass part of our community.

My goal is to keep having awesome content and discussions in each broadcast, while also having different members on the show each week. It would also be great to have a few people calling in to ask questions or join in on the topic we are discussing.

Thanks in advance, this is our community and your suggestions will be read and implemented.

What about doing the first half of the show with a "featured" guest and the other half with the round table?

Either way it sounds good!

Can't wait to make my eagerly anticipated (by all PAP members) debut!

I agree with Corpfan. I think that if you can get a topic expert, he/she should be given some time on their own to discuss their expertise. That is actually very beneficial for affiliates who want to learn specifics from people who have been there and succeeded already. Then, go with the round table format.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but a round table on Rakeback vs Revshare would be fun. I'll throw my name in that hat for that. I still see and hear people bitching because Rakeback guys are "stealing" players yada yada yada..

I know this topic comes up at the conferences, so might as well do it on the show as well. I'll gladly come on and discuss..

Also, kinda past due to do some general SEO discussion. I agree we don't need to discuss advanced SEO, just so we don't step on too many toes. But a Top 20 most common SEO mistakes would be good. I'll gladly help with that if needed too.

What do you mean by "just so we don't step on too many toes"?

Simply that there are certain SEO things that I do, you do, and several other affiliates do that we or I do not want told to the whole world. I have worked hard testing and getting things juts right, and to give that info away seems silly to me.

Truth be told there isn't tons of SEO secrets, juts lots of hard work. Personally, I don't want to give away my hard work. I often help PAP folks though, but I just don't to give ALL my competition a jump start.

That is why I think it may be best to have a "20 things not to do" segment instead..

See, already there is a lesson to be learned about SEO: It's not about what to do, it's about what not to do! Actually, I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, so I would be very interested in such a topic.

Great feedback guys, and Amen to no more rakeback discussion. I'd love to get into mergers and aquisitions...

Perhaps we can cover that tonight, I'm putting the schedule together as we speak. A few definite areas of discussion tonight will be this HR 5767 bill that is being proposed. We will also talk about mastering the overall growth of your business.

If know Ridge is going to try to join us tonight, if anyone else wants to come on the the show, you can PM me and be a co-host throughout he entire thing, I can email you an agenda. Or feel free just to call in during the show to 347-426-3739.
