I've decided to release my geotargeting wordpress plugin for beta testing. This plugin is a one-stop-shop for basic geotargeting within wordpress. I have been using this plugin for some time and have fixed all issues that came up. However, I have some ideas on how to take this plugin even further and I need some more users than just me to see if it's worth it, hence the beta testing.
It's very easy to install and use. Here's what the plugin is capable of in it's present form:
- geotarget content within wordpress posts and pages
- geotarget banners (or whatever) in the sidebar / header / footer (or anywhere within wordpress)
- print the full country name of the visitor's country, if you wanted to.
The latter is useful for special promotions for a specific country, like:
Special bonus for visitors from France (you get the idea)
I'm going to limit this beta testing and it's only available to people who will actually use it. I'm sure I'll make the plugin available to everyone sometime in the future, I just don't want to fully release it until it's been tested a little more.

Does the plugin only work on pages and posts created in WP? Or can it be used to affect the main template coding?
It will work for all aspects of wordpress. The template part was the easy part, the coding to make it work within the post was slightly more difficult.
However, to answer your question: Yes, it will work with the template coding.
