Default Newbie here...

Thought I might as well say hello! I'm a low no limit holdem online player who has some knowledge of web design and seo etc. Thought I might have a go at marrying the two together to make some bucks during the summer months (or at least lay the foundations for some future bucks!).

Would welcome any pointers or suggestions on what part of this place I should explore first, or any other advice you all may have.

Looking forward to getting to know you all, or at least the nice ones amongst you

So many Johns in one forum.

As for tips... just write lots of content, work hard, and don't expect too much too soon. You might work really hard all over this summer but only see results in the autumn or winter. So whilst it may be disheartening at first, just remember that your hard work will pay off eventually.

The hardest part is getting past the initial doldrums.

Thanks corp, you almost make it sound easy, NOT! Hopefully worth the efforts though?

Absolutely worth the effort. There are many here making 5 and 6 figures a MONTH doing this. You'll also find that most folks don't go around beating their chest talking about how much $$$ they make. Instead, people want to help you here. So settle in, do some research on the older threads, and enjoy!

It does take time, you may literally make ZERO for months as you build. However, keep up the hard work. Set a goal or two and go after them. It took me 6 months once to hit number one on google for a certain search term. Once that happened, I could literally watch the sign ups by the hour.

Good Luck.

Definately encouraging words Georgia, thanks! I'd be happy enough with 1 signup per day after six months to be honest, so long as it was each and every day! 2 per day maybe after 1 year is a target that can be achieved, after that who knows - I can only dream of seeing them fly in by the hour, but reading your post helps to confirm that such a thing is possible.

Seen as i'm in the mood and feeling very encouraged, i'd decided there was no time like the present to go and register my first poker domain!

Everyone... say hello to http://www.learntexasholdempokeronline.net

Looking forward to annoying you all for reviews and advice as I start to build a site on it over the coming days!
