Default Ouch

From PokerNews.com

Motoyuki "Moto" Mabuchi raises to 850 in middle position and the button calls.

The flop is and both check. The turn is and Moto bets 1,600. The button calls. The river is and Moto bets 2,500. The button raises to 8,500 and Moto reraises all in.

The button calls. Moto shows for quad aces, but the button has for the royal flush. Moto is eliminated in stunning fashion.

At least he won the bad beat jackpot.

Oh. What? He didn't. Sucks for him then.

Teerible reraise on the river. What did he think the guy had that would not have reraised him preflop?

Moving in with the second nut when the best possible hand that can call you (that you can beat) is the sixth nut is the road to the rail.

It's not a bad beat to bust yourself when you were losing on the turn already anyway (and you were losing on the turn because you slowplayed the flop).

Thats what you get when you check the flop with top set. IMO both players misplayed there hands on more then one street.

I like how the KJ played the turn. he kept the pot small so if the board paired he would have only lost a few thousand, but he seemed to know he could bust the greedy guy if it bricked on the end. His plan only fails if it comes a K or J on the river and it kills the action.

Lol. There's no way I'm just calling that river with quad Aces, all my money is going in. There's so many hands he could have that he'd call the preflop raise (9's, 10's, lower suited diamonds, etc). To just call on the river there is atrocious.
