FullTiltPoker, I guess I just don't get it.
Some terms (blog, poker blog, PS, FullTilt etc.) gets automatically parsed as links to corresponding PAP pages.

However, you only see them as links if you're reading the thread while you're logged out of PAP. When you're logged in on PAP, it doesn't show them as links. At least for me, I don't know if it's the same for everyone.

I don't mind it much, except maybe for the ones related to "blog" like Notspot said - that gets me all the time as well.

I see it now (after I logged out), don't see the big deal. These guys run a business and they are ultimately trying to make some money or show the participating sites value.

Part of that value is on clicks. Standard stuff I would suppose.

We are trying out a new script in the forums that automatically links certain keywords to either inner pages (for SEO) or sub-affiliate links for monetization, or to add value and tracking for our advertisers. If you are signed in as a member however, you will never see these links.

These links are only seen by guests or search engine bots. Being affiliates ourselves I think it would be wrong to hold us to another standard where we cannot innerlink for SEO on our own site or have affiliate links for our guest visitors.

P.S. This is a kick ass script by the way, if you want more info on it, PM me. Also if you do not like seeing these links I can offer a very easy solution..... login and surf the forums.

Oh I get it now, I guess I mis-understood and I thought I would start seeing links all of the time. Sounds kinda cool really especially since I'll never see them and actually a very cool idea.

I don't see what the big issue is honestly, I'm always logged in so I never see them. Not sure what the big deal is now??

I think people are worried that when the type blog or whatever. PAP will get the link even if they are talking about their own blog. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me though.

LOL, it took me a while to understand this thread. Good script by the way.
