Questions for Annie Duke Podcast

Hey guys,

As announced last week, UB & AP will be merging on to one platform and "sharing players" similar to how a network or skin operates.

Initially we were going to bring Annie on the live show, but I think considering the circumstances, it would be better doing it in the form of a podcast and airing it on the Aug. 5th show.

So with that feel free to post your questions in this thread. I'm sure some of you will have questions about the whole AP/UB scandal which is fine. (not sure if she'll answer them) as I have to give her a pre-set list of questions I am going to ask prior to the podcast. But do keep in mind this is poker affiliate radio, so I would rather keep the majority of the discussions pertinent to affiliates.

Nonetheless, ask anything you want and I'll happily present the questions.

Serious question for Annie: Do you think the launch of this new network will build back the trust of the poker community and why should players trust that nothing will happen on this new network given the history of these sites?

Also, as her if the point of the network is so that they can license skins?

To answer a few questions. Personally I would rather have the CEO or director of affiliates on, but they elected to send Annie Duke, so it is what it is. I am not a big fanboy of most T.V. pros myself, so having Annie was not my call.

The reason I don't want to do it live is because if there are questions she won't answer either on the call-in line or in the chat box, that could make our overall show look bad, and that's not cool with me. I can only imagine what some of the 2+2 people calling in would say if they knew it was a live show. Plus the actual intent is to talk about the merge of the software and the implications for affiliates.

Although I realize that this is a hot topic and questions will inevitably come up regarding the scandal. The purpose of having someone from UB/AP on is not to debate the scandal. Maybe we could save that for another show.

Does it benefit AP to keep poker an underground game in the USA?
