Hi guys,

Since my websites are starting to build a little steam, I'm thinking about a few local outlets for print advertising. My question is this: Is it better to promote your website directly and hope that they click your links? Or is it better to list a Party Bonus Code directly in the ad? I suppose there is always the hybrid of setting up a redirect domain, too. What have you had better luck with?

Thanks,
-Josh

I have had much better luck promoting a specific domain name and redirecting it to the website. That is just me though, I know alot of guys that will promote the heck out of their bonus codes and do very well.

It really just comes down to the presentation and how you are promoting those bonus codes or doamins.

agreed with Jeremy.

Get a url redirection to your aff site at party or what ever.

If you don't want to do that then the bonus codes will work also.

I like to redirect people to my site because when they tell there friends about this cool site to play poker online they may mention my site to them and not the "real" one.

Jon

I do advertise the real site. For example, my cards/flyers/shirts etc. all say something like poker players wanted 100% bonus play with the pros and I have a Full Tilt Poker logo on them (with permission). But the address on the cards, etc say go to www.fulltiltpro.com not www.fulltiltpoker.com. If people go to my fulltiltpro.com that is like me telling them to go to http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/?aff=659&code= since fulltiltpro is easy to remember that is why I do the redirection. I don't want people to have to remember www.fulltiltpoker.com and then when they sign up to use my bonus code, since they may or may not remember to type it in.
