Are you seriously critizing the dude because he's chosen to not break the law (as explained to him by his own attorney)?

C'mon.

I have to totally agree.

How is offering rakeback breaking the law?

And of course if they did rakeback they would be total idiots. A US citizen running a rakeback site this huge from las vegas should start practicing picking up the soap. Mason may not be a happy go lucky guy, but he's not eager to make pals in prison either.

Their business model for a US company is excellent. Their savvy in running the poker website part profitably is just not that good.

Mason's post reveals one interesting tidbit... they sell 250k books a year. That speaks to the value of the company. How much would the publisher average share per book be? I don't know book pricing stuff, but at $10 a book, that's $2.5m a year from books.
I agree with PPP 100% on these points, that website makes six figures a month and they have an affiliate program for the non US side.

Your failing to understand. like 90% (dont quote me, just pulling figures from the air) of all the players who receive rakeback, goto 2+2. If they could have some integrated solution with the site they would make so much more money.

You dont understand there player base. Most of these users will never signup to a poker site without rakeback. The ammount of rake generated by the players of the two plus two community has to atleast be in the double figures of total poker rake played worldwide. And im sure sklanksy doesnt have 1/100th of there player base signed up under them.

Just huge waste of a massive community.

Promoting rakeback and promoting poker rooms / free book offer is the same thing. I'm sure Mason can promote rakeback if he wanted to, he's just decided to advertise other rakeback sites instead.

Two plus two isn't the biggest because they were first, the best poker authors / teachers in the world (at that time) are the base of the company - the growth of the community was in natural relation to that.

The free book offer is not for US players.

Hey guys, sorry to burst your bubble here. I mod at 2+2 and read their mod forum and know all about this blowup. Mason never asked anyone to delete forum posts at all. An idea was floated that had to do with stickies in forums and was abandoned. This is taken out of context and the OP here is spamming forums with this link to his own site about something that is many months old and he doesn't know what he's talking about either. Just ignore it.
