A Poker Affiliate Work Week
What does a "poker affiliate work week" look like for you? Do you work 7 days a week, 5 days a week, or just whenever the mood strikes you?
When I started, my "poker affiliate work week" was a 7 days a week business, but it was in addition to my full time job. So I worked whenever I could find a spare hour or two. I didn't watch television much at all, because I needed the time to get my business going. I literally needed the money, and I literally worked until I was too tired to work anymore.
After I started making enough money that I didn't "need" it so bad, my poker affiliate work week changed a bit. I started working on my poker sites when I felt like it, but I wasn't as driven. I watched some television now and then. I even read a novel or two, something I hadn't done when I got started. And my poker affiliate business still grew.
Now I try to work on poker affiliate stuff five days a week, and take Saturdays and Sundays off almost altogether.
What does your poker affiliate work week look like?

Poker is 24/7 for me, if I'm not out playing live I'm home working in my office.
Things have been very "unique" for me this year, I had my first son and with the recession hitting my hardwood floor business was slowing, I saw the writing on the wall and jumped into this hard.
I made sites, some that WOW I just need to revisit because there was some serious flaws to them.
I bought some sites that already earn.
Income is down for me compared to what I'm used to - but between playing and affiliating I'm so lucky to be able to say that six months in the business I support my family with this full time and both me and my wife are able to stay home and spend time with my son.
At this time, if I'm NOT working 24/7 I'm at too big of a disadvantage to affiliates with superior, and I do mean superior knowledge over mine.

When i first started used to work 14 or 15 hours a day , learning html and building links and sites up.
Now i might do 20 hours a week as I outsource all writing , reviews, content and site building.
mostly my time now is spent updating content, thinking up new sites, and looking for new ways to promoting my sites.

My work week has been changing all of the time in my first year of affiliating due to things like school, sports, moving, etc.
But I am starting to get more of a schedule in place now and I'm looking at working about 4-5 hours during the day 5 days a week. Along with a few hours on the weekends when I feel like it.

My biggest problem is my "16 hour work day" usually only manages to get half of that as actual "work". PAP, and other poker things consume the rest LOL.

I can say that doing support for PAS is a 7 day a week job. One thing that is a huge advantage in this business is timely support. No matter what size affiliate you are the players notice quick replies, and that includes Sundays and holidays. Even if they don't notice the timely replies they notice when they aren't timely.
Also Sunday nights are a great time to get all the emails out to AM's too. That way I'm not sending multiple emails to poker room reps and can get the week started with their replies. For me not working 7 days a week causes a workload to pile up.

Well said and I fully agree, I wake up and turn on my computer and i go to bed turning off my computer that is how my work days go. Sundays are my favorite day as i can sit down in front of the TV watch all the NFL games and do my work as watch the games.

At a minimum 8-6 M-F for me. Weekends I'm trying to spend with the family but there's almost always a pressing issue that just can't wait till Monday.
